Currently I take 50 mcg Levothyroxine and 15 mcg
Liothyronine
- split 10 mcg in the morning and 5 mcg in the afternoon. My Endo says I am slightly over medicated but has agreed to continue with this prescription. My GP has advised that I need to go on statins. I’m reluctant to do this.

Does anyone know of a connection between undermedication and histamine intolerance, or if there are histamines in Armour thyroid?
I was on 150mcg thyroxine and 40mcg
liothyronine
daily, split T3 dose (test results below), the private endo dropped me down to 2 and a half grains of Armour daily, split dose, equivalent to 95mcg T4 and 22.5 T3.

How to take meds before blood test for T3 trial, advice please?
I normally take 100mcg levothyroxine and 10mcg
liothyronine
T3 at 7am and then 10mcg T3 around 4pm, can I do this the day before or do I need to take T3 a bit later? I’d like an accurate reading.

Many members have reported issues when they take their levothyroxine and/or
liothyronine
(and, indeed, other medicines). The issues can include upset stomach, rash, itch, or a million other things. Mild or serious. It also includes issues such as pills that crumble too easily. Odd smell.

liothyronine
I was given a different brand of
liothyronine
and after taking it for a few weeks I felt my old thyroid symptoms coming back- the worst being anxiety/depression I have now gone back to taking my old brand how long should it take for me to feel ok again.

So frustrated that endo told me my hypo symptoms are social, emotional and psychological
Thankfully the endo that I was referred to by the GP said I needed combination therapy and over the past 2 years my meds have increased from thyroxine 125mcg/
liothyronine
10mcg up to the current 150mcg/40mcg.

Blood results help
At that time, the doctor prescribed me
liothyronine
. After talking with you all, I requested an increase in levothyroxin to 75mcg, which she agreed. I also started taking supplements. I am posting a picture of my labs from yesterday. The top image is that of the labs from December.

Hi all, long story short, back in December I was put on a trial treatment of Levothyroxine and
liothyronine
as my T4 was not converting to T3. I am currently on 100m mcg of Levothyroxine and 20 mcg of
Liothyronine
.

Thyroid treatment for new patients in U.S.
Prescriptions for
liothyronine
(LT3), primarily in combination with levothyroxine, remained at about 2% throughout the decade.

New here, seeking advice
I am now on thyroxine for autoimmune hypothyroidism, and have just recently introduced
liothyronine
. My hypothyroidism was diagnosed in May 2023 but I've had symptoms for longer and I was Subclinical in 2014.

Sensitive to Armour fillers?
He’s suggested trying Eltroxin and
Liothyronine
but I’m struggling to find any without lactose or mannitol. Does anyone know of any brands with less fillers that are better tolerated if you’re sensitive please?

Note: I have now found online the instructions, and here they are in case anyone else is looking:-
Liothyronine
Sodium Tablets are taken by mouth. They should be swallowed with a glass of water.

Generic Cytomel
Been taking generic
liothyronine
made by "Northstar," and feel hypo symptoms coming back, big time. Before this "Northstar" generic I was taking some other generic and felt okay. Picked up a new RX today, which is brand name cytomel to test my theory but not without a huge cost increase !

I am not sure if this has been posted before but I found it interesting reading. An insight into how some decisions are made ( or not!) https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/11/12/e051702#ref-3

Next step in solving the mystery of my burning feet, but need a little bit of advice
Long story short, the consultant suggested I have a trial of T3 (
Liothyronine
Thybon Henning) 5mcg twice a day. 5mcg with my T4 in the morning and 5mcg halfway through the afternoon.

This sounds encouraging
Persons with abnormal sum activity of deiodinases, however, might benefit from additional treatment with
liothyronine
[414, 423], although this does not hold true for all polymorphisms of deiodinases [424].

Problem with the cost of Liothyronine.
The pharmacist who dispenses my prescriptions rang me on Friday and said she has tried 6 different distributors for my T3 and they are all charging £20 more per box than she can reclaim from the Government. Is this a result of the cost of living crisis or what? I had the same problem 5 months ago
