Adrenal cortisol expertise needed
Hi! I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue / low cortisol 10-plus years ago and take 10 mg of hydrocortisone (tablet) in the morning and at noon. I just received results of diurnal saliva cortisol test and am surprised/confused at the results. Does this group help with adrenal issues, or is there a different

Do I need more T3 on T3 only?
Dear all, You have all been very hel pful - I never cease to be amazed as to how supportive this forum is. I am wondering if you have any thoughts about my dose of T3. I am now on 62.50 mcg T3 (Thybon Henning) private prescription from my private Thyroid doctor. I take three doses, 6 am 22.50mcg

Low testosterone 35y/o F
Hi all, I had a female hormone panel done because I suspected something was awry with sex hormones alongside Hashi's and extremely low cortisol (currently on levo, T3, and hydrocortisone). It's come back with good estrogen and progesterone but almost undetectable testosterone: Testosterone: <0.087 (<

Thyroid, anemia, cortisol and fake menopause - iron IV on Monday
Hey everyone,I have been struggling recently with a lot of symptoms, mainly crushing fatigue to the point of dizziness and blurry vision. After years of trying different meds, it is now clear I don't tolerate meds because of other factors. I clearly need higher dose of thyroid meds, but they don't work

possible flare or low cortisol
Hi, reduced my prednisolone about 2 weeks ago to 4.5mg from 5mg and have been okay until today. A couple of twinges here and there but manageable. Today I’m feeling awful, headache, pain in back, legs, feet and shoulders/neck. Absolutely exhausted and feeling tearful. Could this be a flare do you think

T3 Help!
Hi everyone, I need some help. I am newly started on T3. Finely got to see an endo 7/9/23 and he said my T4 was too high and my T3 low. I have never been well on T4 and was diagnosed with ME/CFS. I have been on T4 for 20 years. I also had low B12. I self inject for that. I have enlarged red blood

Synacthen Test Result
Hi allJust recently got result from endo. Obviously it rules out Addisons which is good and I responded to the inj. The second blood draw was actually done 40 mins post administration but I'm assuming that wouldn't have affected the overall result too much. However I know my baseline blood cortisol is

Fatigue and Tapering
As my previous posts say I had gradually tapered down to 11mg a day about two weeks ago. I have now tapered to 10mg and have started to feel very tired, weak and drowsy during the day although I cannot say I am feeling any PMR symptoms. Is this likely to be caused by low cortisol because my adrenals

Low cortisol but within normal nhs range
I have had 2 blood cortisol tests at 9am 1st one was 133 nmol/L and the 2nd one was 233 nmol/L . I asked to have a short synacten test to see if my pituitary is failing ( hypopituitarism) , as one of my big symptoms is low motivation, tiredness, hypothyroidism and zero libido for years despite being

My pred experience scares me.
I really need some help understanding what's going on in my body. In late April I had been at 25 mg for a while with mild PMR-like symptoms. Then, one day all my symptoms went away after I made a big positive life change. I then tapered down to 6 mg over a three month period without any problems.

DUTCH Practitioner
I am thinking of having a DUTCH test due to low cortisol and chronic insomnia. I contacted DUTCH but they’re unable to give me a UK practitioner’s details due to date protection?! Can anyone recommend a UK practitioner please? I assume this can be done with an online consultation, but if not I’d be

Low Estradiol and low Iron - is it Thyroid?
Hi all, I have been on 2.375 grains of Armour and 2.5 T3 since May and my results are: Ft4 33% Ft3 75% 24 hours after meds since Armour is slower release. I don't tolerate Armour in its own, tried everything from 3 to 2.25 grains. Iron 49 (50-180) Estradiol 12 (21-280) checked 4th day of cycle FSH

PMR flare or something else?
I posted a couple weeks ago about pain and stiffness in my hips, shoulders, and hands/wrists, starting when I reduced to 3 mg from 3.5 mgprednisone using DSNS (diagnosed in 2018 PMR/GCA) and also had a great deal of stess and activity. The rheumatologist thought it was carpal tunnel and trochanter hip

Anyone for macrocytosis?
I asked for a copy of a recent cardiology report where AF was diagnosed. The report mentions hypertension, PMR, OA, B12 deficiency (oral tablets) and mild macrocytosis. I assume the latter was identified at the last routine bloods, nearly a year ago, but is not a cause for concern. It’s a new one

Adrenal cortex and DHEA supplementing
My recent saliva test showed low DHEA (91 - range 106-300) and low cortisol levels (Diurnal cortisol pattern is consistent with evolving (Phase 2) HPA axis (adrenal gland) dysfunction.) I passed an SST, but my endo didn’t seem interested in helping me further (too focused on supressed TSH) so I’d like

Could low iron be making me feel very unwell?
For the past 6 weeks I have had awful dizziness, tingling feet, feeling spaced and almost consents tinnitus. It’s got so bad I’m having to go to bed for chunks of the day and when I’m up I don’t feel very present. I’ve seen a neurologist, had an MRI and CT scan and a brain bleed was ruled out. The

never loose hope upping NDT!!
bit of back story, I have been on 1 grain of NDT for 3.5 years (with added t4). Every time I upped 1/4 grain I would get hyper symptoms and it would push my t3 over range. So I had no choice but to add levo in (tirosint). T4 seems to make me feel worse and worse the higher I go in doses with extreme
