Hypothyroid, Low Cortisol & Adrenal Synacthen Stress Test?
Blimey! Went for my follow up after bloods & endo has said she can't even consider treating me with any thyroid meds till she's sorted out my Cortisol issue 144 (171-536 range) & Vitamin D. She said she's far more worried about that than my thyroid results: TSH 4.17 (0.27 - 4.2) FT4 17.7 (12 - 22)

Have been having trouble introducing the t3 , even at low dose seems to make heart pound. Had hoped to rectify this by reducing the t4

By what mechanism do low cortisol and hypothyroidism interact?
Hi, I'm writing a letter for my GP as she needs to write to an endo for me and I want to explain the catch 22 situation that can arise with low thyroxine take up and low cortisol. I understand the idea that as every organ needs T3 to function adrenals will slow down if not enough T3 in cells, plus the

Proof of trauma's effects. low cortisol.
I saw my doctor yesterday. She gave me the results of a 24 hr cortisol saliva test. They showed my cortisol levels were very low. She said I had the profile of an individual under excessive stress over a life time. That means I have physical proof that I have had trauma induced lizard brain HPA axis

Do you think Chronic Fatigue Syndrome exists?
I'm interested to hear peoples views on CFS, and whether you think it exists - or whether you think it's a name given to a collection of issues not 'picked up' by our doctors (such as adrenal fatigue, hormone imbalances, thyroid problems, insulin resistance/pre diabetes and so on) I have actually been
