My daughter is possibly needing a
laparoscopy
and we’re prepared to go private in order to get results. I had years of endo myself before going through the menopause so have experience 😢

bilateral oophorectomy at 34
She was the surgeon that performed a
laparoscopy
in November 2023 and asked how things have been since the operation. Well, they’re terrible. I’d say I feel worse since the operation and coming off Zoladex (I was on Zoladex Aug-Nov 2023).

Need some info on Fibroids
I had a
laparoscopy
last month which showed severe and widespread adhesions. I was told by one gynaecologist that there was no endo and the adhesions would have been caused by my c-section in 2009.

hey guys, I had a
laparoscopy
about a month ago where they confirmed my endo and found some nodules and cysts hiding in there. How long did you have to wait to hear back of results and to talk to the gynaecologist after your operation?

Laparoscopy found nothing - symptoms all point to endometriosis
I had a
laparoscopy
on friday and despite not being confirmed by the gyno, nurses have said my surgery notes suggest everything is normal and they have found no endo which is great but frustrating because i have no idea what my pain is and I am worried now they haven’t found anything they will just leave

pregnancy and spotting
First time was when I was still on the waiting list for
laparoscopy
to remove endo. We miscarried at 8wks unfortunately. Now that endo is gone after surgery, I was thinking we would have a better chance to carry pregnancy to term.

significant free fluid in pouch of douglas
Should the fluid be drained and can I ask for a
laparoscopy
to determine adenmyosis and if the fluid is infected.

Fertility and Endometriosis
I am struggling with the decision about whether to have a
laparoscopy
. I have little pain and will be using donor eggs in the future (one own embryo left then move to donor). I know
laparoscopy
can affect egg reserve (if in ovary) however I won't be having more egg collections.

My MRI did not show endo despite my symptoms
The most recent
laparoscopy
was over 4 years ago. My symptoms worsened again 18 months ago. I was going to have a diagnostic
laparoscopy
, but it was cancelled.

Constant lower Back/Left Bum cheek pain
I've had a
laparoscopy
and endo wasn't found but I wouldn't be surprised if I have it too. It's tormenting me and hugely affecting my mental health. I've had tailbone mri, xray, steroid injections, colonoscopy in case it was something else. Nothing else showed up.

Endo diagnosis
I know the gold standard to check for endometriosis is a
laparoscopy
. Should I go ahead with surgery for a diagnosis? If I choose not to have surgery and I do have endometriosis, am I at risk to any harm?

Endo, lap and IVF
Hi everyone, in about 2 months I should be getting my first
laparoscopy
and then after that me and my partner (male) will be going through IVF. I have a couple of questions that I wondered if any of you might know from your own experiences - 1.

❓️I have a lot of questions
I'm in pain everyday and suspect I have endo in my bowel, bladder and belly button My GP agrees it sounds like endo and has refered me to gynae If they agree would they usually send you for a
laparoscopy
to diagnose & remove it? Or do they offer hormone treatments or pain management first?

Hello, I had diagnostic
laparoscopy
1 week ago, (where I was told no endo found but the gynaecologists told me just before I was heading up for surgery he wasn’t going to check my bowel or bladder where most of my symptoms are, only my reproductive organs 🙄 all he seemed to be concerned with) my recovery

Rectocele repair and laparoscopy
I've been offered surgical repair of the rectocele as well as a
laparoscopy
because of the level of pelvic pain I have been having but the risk of it causing further pain has been communicated as 50%! I'm very concerned about being left with pain from the repair.

what to do...
Is it better just to wait for this
laparoscopy
, or go ahead with private? I just don't know what to do:(

Has anyone found Mebeverine/Buscopan helpful?
Following a
Laparoscopy
, it is highly likely that I have Adenomyosis. One of the hardest symptoms is the uncomfortable bowel issues. I get bloating and constipation. I am wondering if it is worth trying Mebeverine or Buscopan.

I’m wondering if the colonoscopy will be changed to a
laparoscopy
as symptoms lean towards ovarian problems.
