Consultant decided to withhold info from laparoscopy :(
In the summer i had a
laparoscopy
, which showed an enlarged uterus, query adenomyosis. That's all it said and that was sent to my gp.I had a scan previous to this that showed a large fibroid. When I queried this at the time I was told there wasn't one.

Positive Experience - Diagnosis and Treatment
Following 3 and a half years of pain, negative
laparoscopy
(nothing found), normal ultrasounds, multiple gaslighting occasions and medical professionals saying I didnāt have gynae issues and my symptoms were related to other thingsā¦ I finally had my second lap last Saturday.

Can progesterone-only contraception make endometriosis worse?
I feel like my symptoms have got worse since my
laparoscopy
and excision last April, but have been trying progesterone only contraception since then, which seems to make my endo loads worse.

I keep getting denied the CA-125 test!
I was given the option of
laparoscopy
or a wait and watch approach. OB/GYN said she thought it was a low chance for cancer and that waiting and watching would be ok because I really don't want to have surgery if I don't need it.

Bleeding for Months Straight
My next gynae appointment is not until April 2025 where I will decide if I get an investigative
laparoscopy
. Anyone experiences something similar?

going toilet after laparoscopy
Hi everyone!! I had my diagnostic and excision surgery earlier today and they have found and removed endo tissue. I have been home for around 2 hours now and I was wondering if anyone had any issues with going toilet at all straight after? My bladder feels so full and I have to keep going to the toilet

Pain After Exercise
The specialist during my
laparoscopy
burnt away the endometriosis patches (I now know this is not the most ideal way of treating it) but said there was only one small patch and that I should no longer feel any pain. However, I am still getting quite a lot of pain and especially after running.

Decapeptyl and pain
Now not sure as was told my womb was so large with my fibroids,it was inoperable with robotic
laparoscopy
so shrinking it down. Also shrinking it to ease the pain and anemia. My stomach is damaged from years of taking iron and healing erosions,so can't take any pain relief only Panadol.

Is an mri more accurate for Adenomyosis than a laparoscopy?
I've had a
laparoscopy
in August, that showed probable Adenomyosis. My consultant wanted me to have an mri for more information, as I was diagnosed by ultrasound with a large fibroid. Will the mri show more than the
laparoscopy
? I've had it this week. Thank you xx

should I seek a third opinion about endo/adeno diagnosis?
Iāve had ultrasounds and 1
laparoscopy
(2022) by a general gynaecologist who determined I had no gynaecological issues, and it was ālikely IBSā. Unhappy with this diagnosis, I sought a specialist referral elsewhere. They did an MRI scan last September which showed adenomyosis clearly.

Sorry if this is depressing š
I had my
laparoscopy
surgery in February and I was diagnosed with endometriosis. Since the surgery my pain has leveled up, itās so much worse and itās throughout the month, not just when Iām on my period anymore.

Living hell
I havenāt had my hospital appointment through yet (I know there is a waiting list) for the
laparoscopy
and although an operation is the last thing I want, I am begging for anything that will try and take this misery away.

My questions: Is there a limit to the size of a complex cyst before it gets too big and can't be removed by
laparoscopy
? I am terrified of any surgery and just wishing the whole thing would go away. No one ever answered me on whether they got got rid of a complex cyst?

suspected endometriosis and mirena coil.
Iām on the list for a
laparoscopy
but the wait is another 6-9 months. Iām considering the mirena coil to help with the pain as it was recommended and my appointment. Will this affect me having the opp ? I really donāt want to be taken off the list.

How to feel after diagnosis?
I started with endo symptoms in 2020, in 2022 I finally had a
laparoscopy
to diagnose me with endometriosis. Since then my specialist told me itās a mild case etc and apart from going onto the pill it was just using pain management.

Endometriosis and mirena coil
Hi, I hope someone can help, i was diagnosed with endometriosis in December 2023 after undergoing
laparoscopy
, it couldn't be removed at the time, I am now waiting for robotic excision, I have been recommended to have the mirena coil fitted at the same time as surgery.
