My sister is going to start a clinical trial using
Keytruda
and Listeria. Has anyone had any experience with this trial?

Any similar experiences out there
They are not doing anything on his lung until his performance status has improved...but if he can get up to a 0 or 1, they will offer
Keytruda
as a first line treatment...if not up to that in six weeks, standard chemo as palliative care.

Moving to Las Vegas need help
Is doing well on
Keytruda
. His next PET is the middle of Sept. fingers crossed. But, we are moving to Las Vegas soon and I wonder if anyone knows a good Medical Oncologist and/or a good polmonalogist out there?

First In Human series
The show is both fascinating and a bit distressing because of how very ill the patients are, but I also admire their courage in being willing to test new medications, including for toxicity, because we are the recipients of
Keytruda
, which went through similar trials.

How do you cope with seeing your partner suffer?
He was given one dose of
keytruda
which sent him to hospital for 4 weeks. We thought the oncologist will wait for him to get better and may be go back to maintenance chemo to keep things stable, instead he told him that the best option for his situation is to have no treatment!

Second Keytruda treatment went well
I just want to report my husband, Ed, has just had his 2nd
Keytruda
treatment. So far, the only thing that has happened is more red spots on his arms, like us older folk get when we bump into things. They aren't sure it is because of the
Keytruda
or not.

Sometimes, this is the answer
What guidance exists in determining if we continue on
Keytruda
beyond 2 years or switch to 4 rounds of Yervoy? If we try Yervoy, can you return to use of
Keytruda
?

My husband has stage 4 lung cancer
He is now on
keytruda
. Just had his second treatment but his energy level is zero. In fact he has less energy and appetite than ever before. I'm at my wits end. Has anyone had a similar experience and does it get better

A number of men have asked or commented about
Keytruda
, including Gus, Blair77 & DSim. New study below. The target of Merck's
Keytruda
(Pembrolizumab) is the receptor known as PD-1 (Programmed cell death protein 1), which suppresses T cell activity, thereby dampening the immune response.

Tomorrow my husband will receive
Keytruda
Treatment #32. I have attended most appointments and treatments with him, but tomorrow I am going to Louisiana to visit my mom. Our oldest daughter has come up to visit and will go with him.

FDA approves drug based on genetics, not cancer type
Keytruda
, which is the brand name of pembroluzumab, has already been FDA approved for several advanced cancers. It is in clinical trials for metastatic breast cancer, mostly mTNBC.
Keytruda
is a targeted immunotherapy. This is a new way to approach how cancer drugs are used and approved.

Introduction
I was treated with 4 courses of Yervoy (Ipi) and then went through a clinical trial of PD-1 which later was approved by the FDA as
Keytruda
(Pem). I am now past a 2 year mark of being in remission. Words do not express the gratitude that I have for Dr. O'Day and these new immunology treatments.

Euthanasia or what?
I wrote several months ago about a lady I met at the clinic having
Keytruda
. I hadn't heard from her in quite awhile so I sent her a text to enquire about how the drug was going and how she was. About a day later her husband replied with the news that she had passed a few months earlier.

Just a heads up; the FDA approved this immunotherapy drug
Keytruda
in combination with a chemotherapy drug. Ill try to send the link to you. ( if this site will let us) The question is how do we let our Oncologist know about such treatments?

Immoral cancer drug costs
We just been told that the cost for
keytruda
would be $ 6800 / treatment. That's a legal robbery! I hope these people controlling it and blocking patient access to it will rot in hell !!!!!
