What side effects do people experience with sodium valproate?
It's been suggested I change my medication from
Keppra
to sodium valproate because I am experiencing too many side effects. I was just wondering what other peoples experiences were with sodium valproate.

Keppra rage
anyone else experience this? I've noticed over the past few years that I'm having more and more episodes where something that wouldn't normally get me angry, gets me angry and there are triggers that bring a red mist and I can lose it completely. How do you deal with it, I'm know what triggers me most

Keppra side effects- does reducing the dose cause seizures?
Hi, I have been on
Keppra
1000mg bd for the last 3 years which hasnt changed my grand mal seizure frequency, only the absence seizures. I developed side effects which I have ignored as I was too scared of another seizure to risk reducing it back down to 750mg bd.

Same brand of medication
The foil container had Levetiracitam in bold on it but was covered with a label saying
Keppra
. The branded version has the name
Keppra
in bold on the foil container.

Epilepsy medication for child
Recently, the NHS doctors recommended 20mg
Keppra
(10mg x 2 times a day). We are wondering if someone with similar experience, can give us some insights as to: i) What to expect with respect to side-effects. Will they have an impact on their behaviour and relations with other children?

Spasms / mini seizures
They put her on some new medication
Keppra
, which seemed to work. But in the last 2 weeks she has lost a stone ( she was only 8 stone to start with,) and for the last 2 days she is now bed bound, sleeping all day, arm and leg spasms almost continually.

Epilepsy Meds and non NSAIDS with NAFLD
I'm currently on
Keppra
and Topamax. Also, I have ehlers danlos, so chronic pain is a serious issue. I've developed asthma and an allergy to NSAIDS. Does anyone have recommendations for pain relievers that are not so liver-harsh? I appreciate any help on any aspect of this.

Hallucinations?
He takes
Keppra
(5ml am and the same pm) and I’m wondering if it could be that? He’s also v verbally abusive, especially in the mornings when he’s tired but I assume this will improve over time but I’d be grateful if any of you have any words of wisdom. I’d be very grateful.

Can't seem to stop constant underarm odor
Her other meds are:
Keppra
250mg 2 per day - Lorazepam 4mg per day - Lexapro 10mg x 2 per day - Oxybutynin 1 per day - Lisinopril 1 per day - Amlodipine 1 per day. Does any one have any thoughts or experiences like this. All of her medications are working well. Many thanks, Mike

Advice for recently diagnosed
I have tonic-Clonic (grand mal) seizures, I’m on
Keppra
, and am still having seizures twice a week. I just wanted to know of any advice for both keeping myself safe and my mental health!

Daughter had sensory seizure yesterday
Our doctor is increasing the
keppra
to 4 mL twice a day. We're also going to try melatonin to get her sleep more on track. She sleeps so much now that she is missing school. She sleeps with us now, all she has to do is kick the sheets off and I'm immediately out of bed, wide awake.

I'm a happy girl (or lucky!)
It has been 6 months and now cleared to drive again as I have been compliant on
Keppra
. I'm a bit OCD with meds as it doesn't take much to be out of kilter if not taken 12 hourly. I have to be reviewed every12 months and hopefully will remain well again.
