I am fuming! I’ve just received a message from a doctor I haven’t seen before to say that she has received a letter from my cardiologist suggesting a change to my medication and she has issued the prescription to my pharmacy. I checked my repeat medications and the added medication is isosorbide mononitrate

Advice Pls…
I had a sudden heart attack in December 2022 aged 43. Everything came as a surprise as I’m not over weight and I am generally healthy. I was fitted with 2 stents. I completed my 8 weeks of rehab and was discharged from the hospital appointments at 3 months. After my heart attack I kept getting a pushing

The chest and jaw pain lasted less than 5 minutes however then I developed tingly sensations in my left fingers and numbness, with a heavy/pressure

Do long acting nitrates affect sleep?
Hi, hoping someone that has experience with taking long acting nitrates can help answer my question. Apologies.
Sorry for lack of update. I was really tired yesterday. Saw the on duty cardiologist yesterday morning. I now know in more detail why they wont attempt to stent me. Problem is in a small branch artery close to a major one. Attempting to stent that narrower one carries a greater risk of rupture plus would

GTN spray
I am awaiting an angiogram and have been prescribed GTN which I use as and when needed. I do however get palpitations and wonder if the spray would be helpful for that. Sadly I didn't see a GP when the GTN was prescribed, a nurse called me to say for my symptoms I should have it. Cardiologist wants

Mitral Valve Leak
I saw a cardiology registrar today about the symptoms of my mild to moderate mitral valve leak which has only started during the last five months. He’s given me isosorbide mononitrate and arranged a 24 hour ecg. Does anyone know if this will be effective? I feel it’s just masking the symptoms. This

Seriously fed up
Was doing really well until my blip 2 weeks ago (felt dizzy and BP dropped to 80/60 at end of rehab). Since then I've felt rotten. Lots of dizziness and chest discomfort. Even ended up with 111 calling an ambulance and an overnight stay in hospital getting checked out. ECG fine, BP ok but very slightly
