Unstable Angina - Heart Rate Rising

Hi,

I had a heart attack 8 months ago and had a stent fitted. I then had to go in for a second stent in Jan 23. Both times the incident that caused hospitalisation occurred while I was asleep and not exercising etc. I am now on the usual drugs as well as Ezetimibe as part of a program to aggressive lower my cholesterol and also Isosorbide Mononitrate tablets to prevent angina pains from waking me up. Finally when I was first put on the drugs my resting heartrate was 50 to 60 waking and 45 to 50 when asleep but now it is 50 to 80 both awake and asleep. Can anyone tell me whether one can get tolerant to the drugs to the point where your heart rate starts creeping up again and also whether they have also had similar problems of a high heart rate when sleeping.

Any help much appreciated.
