Heart Spasm?
Hi all, On Sunday afternoon I had a sudden intense “spasm” , felt like someone had reached in and squeezed my heart. I’ve had similar feelings occasionally before but this time it left me with a tight, heavy “lump” in the middle of my chest which would not go away...on top of which I felt weak, ill and

Just home from hospital !!
I’d had chest pain, down both arms across shoulders and my back, that just wouldn’t shift with the GTN spray. Ambulance, morphine and goodness knows what else later as that morphine is pretty good stuff, X-ray ECG monitored, then my blood pressure went down to 97/43 put on fluids, I think they understood

Hi I am waiting on a ct angiogram. I went to my GP due to the tightness I have been having in my chest. It’s almost like it’s hard to breathe and the pain travels round to my back. It sometimes feels like indigestion. I have had cancer treatment 12 years ago and I wonder if it’s affected my heart, I

Short Angina. Advice please
I would be most appreciative of any comments or advice. I have been getting possible Angina pains when walking up even slight inclines but they usually last only around 20 seconds. If I stop, pains stops. I have only used my GTN 3 times in 3 months but am still so very anxious prior to walking up even

Exercise Modulation of Tumour Perfusion and Hypoxia to Improve Radiotherapy Response
New paper below [1]. ".. recent studies reveal that exercise may also directly influence tumour physiology that could beneficially affect the response to radiotherapy." "Preclinical research has shown that exercise can reduce intratumoral hypoxia-a major limiting factor in radiotherapy-by improving tumour

More pain than usual !!
Hi 👋 I don’t know why but today has been one of the worst days with pain I’ve had since being diagnosed 😢 It’s been in both arms down to my hands and shoulders, front and back along with the heavy chest feeling. I haven’t done much different today than usual. Has anyone else had this random worse

GTN spray and stress !!!
I don’t know what it’s about having this micro vascular angina vasospastic angina , can anyone tell me if I have it right that they can come in clusters? Mine certainly do. Probably not a good idea for ‘me’ to take our spaniel to the vets, as I needed to use the spray several times, twice each time,

Isosorbide Mononitrate
I take 10 mg Isosorbide Mononitrate twice a day as well as other heart meds. I take one at breakfast time and the other at dinnertime. Someone mentioned to me yesterday that I should take them nearer together so I can have a longer gap between them. If not my body would get used to them and they won't

Chest pain
I hope you don’t think this is a really silly question but for my chest pain I use the GTN spray on top of all the meds, here comes the silly bit..... I know you need to go to hospital after a few sprays of GTN but I thought I saw a post on here that a hot water bottle can help with the pain, so would
