Angina help please
Hubby had HA Oct 2016, 4 stents and all the normal drugs. He has been fine until today, he had chest pains and looked very white. I went straight for 999, advised to give him aspirin and use his GTN spray, ever been diagnosed with Angina but years ago given spray in case of need. BP 240/120, ECG looked

Dear friends, This is Steve again on behalf of Margaret my dear wife. Just as you dare to think matters are slowly improving, this has happened! Margaret got out of bed on Sunday morning and went to the bathroom. As she stood up she felt a vice like grip from her spine, around her ribs and crushing

Palpatations
Hi everybody. Can anybody please tell me if using my gtn spray is meant to be used to stop palpatations or is it just for pain. With my angina I am troubled more with breathlessness and lots of palpatations and don't know if I am supposed to use spray when the palpatations start. I googled it but can't

Unstable Angina worries
I had a stent put in in October 2020 and everything was ok I had a few visits to A& E with chest pain but since them I’ve walked over 500,000 steps starting in March this year and my recent Echocardiogram was fine I only discovered my LAD Blockage when I had a routine Angiogram so it was a shock I continue

Now lost the job, no EDD. I can't pay treatment bills any more.
I was developed kidneys failure before 2002(first diagnosed was stage 2). Kidneys are like household water filter. When they were expired. They are unrepairable. Kidneys slowly decline from stage 2 to stage 5(final). I started dialysis since 2015. I have been working in electronic field. Then I developed

Ranolazine, amlodipine and lansoprazo now suggested to take Isosobine mononitrate as well. GTN spray has little effect. Advice, please.
Diagnosed with MVA, eventually, after all the usual frustrations of being made to feel a total fraud since nothing was found through numerous painful ‘attacks’ and the usual ECGs and angiogram. At 62 and previously a very fit male, I’m very thankful to the cardiologist who suspected MVA and put me on

I ended up back in A&E yesterday , I’d had a lot of pain by my pacemaker so I called 111 for advice , they said a GP would call me a bit later and I should call back if I felt worse, I had a bit of chest pain so I called back and they sent an ambulance . The paramedic said there were changes on my ecg

GTN spray for angina only?
Hi. Might seem like a stupid question but as I’ve had different responses from range of medics GP to cardio nurse I thought I’d ask here! Brief history - STEMI LAD October 1 stent. Clot in stent 4 hours later. November - ACS - angioplasty and stent RCA. December- angiogram and challenge test - MVD

Post heart attack mental health
Morning, feeling very deflated today. Yesterday was the one month mark of my HA. I’ve been feeling stronger so booked in to get my hair done. I’d only been in the chair half an hour ans the sweat just started pouring off me and I just felt so queasy. Next thing there’s a first aider next to me ringing

Should I use GTN spray?
Occasionally I have ‘Pain’ (more like cramp) in left forearm but not in chest. I have recently diagnosed unstable Angina and 1 stent fitted and waiting for #2. Should I use GTN SPRAY?

GTN Patches
Hi All, I joined this community not too long ago and I’ve been looking at some of the posts that come up. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with using GTN Patches? I’ve had a consult with my Dr today who has recommended them and I’ve just been reading a few articles I could find - however

I've joined the bypass queue....
Six months ago I thought I was a relatively fit person, going up Cadair Idris. The my breathing problems started and got rapidly worse. Now I'm on a cocktail of medicines, keeping the GTN spray always in the pocket and waiting for my turn in the bypass queue. Allegedly, it is six months long, I am not

Unsure if should use GTN spray
Hi, I'm new here. I had a heart attack in march 2017 and had two stents put in. It was the start of pre menopause for me and I was 44 at the time. I've been generally ok since then, but have struggled with regular exercise and have put on weight. Proper menopause kicked in at the beginning of this year

Recurring intermittent chest pains after NSTEMI heart attack
Hi. I am looking for some advice. I had an NSTEMI in December last year followed by 2 stents in my right coronary artery and a third blockage in the left was treated with an angioplasty. I am now on a selection of drugs including antiplatlet, blood pressure, statins, beta blockers, and angina drugs.
