Peg interferon
I don't take any
iron
supplements but have been drinking Actimel, now know it's crap and won't do that anymore. So I guess that is a factor. Now she wants me take 135mcg of peg interferon from the next 3 wks to see if things improve. Has anyone taken that much.

Advice please. Not sure how to proceed.
FT4 0.93 (.82 - 1.77) FT3 2.1 (2.0 - 4.4) RT3 7.5 (9.2 - 24.1) TSH 2.64 (0.45 - 4.5) TPO 301 (working on lowering) TGab (no antibodies) VitD, B12 and
iron
levels all looking pretty good. Ferritin still a bit low at 35 (15 - 150), but working on it.

Furosemide
I saw a neurologist for the first time at Newcastle (UK) last November, and she prescribed a low dose of Gabapentin (300mg) and
iron
infusion. After 6 weeks the
iron
infusion kicked in and virtually stopped the rls.

Iron panel test help please
I’m planning on doing a medichecks
iron
panel test in 7 days to recheck my
iron
levels to see if they’ve improved with supplementation. I know to stop Biotin/ B vits for a week before blood tests but do I also need to stop taking my
iron
supplements too? Advice would be much appreciated!

CA 125 levels and ovarian cyst
I have since got my
iron
levels back up and went for a scan in September where they found a fluid filled ovarian cyst which was 5cm. The sonography said he was pretty sure it would go. Went back 10 weeks later and it's still there and a little bigger .

HbA1c
Has anyone heard of or have knowledge about B12 deficiency, folate/
iron
deficiency affecting Hba1c results and causing raised levels? I was extremely surprised when my Hba1c levels came back high pre diabetic recently.

Understanding jump in platelet levels
After some quick research I see that ‘infection’ and low
iron
are also common reasons for platelets to rise. I have now arranged to go in for another blood test next week to include an
iron
profile (it was 4.4 in Feb) and to check for inflammatory markers
