cytomel and food
My synthroid bottle has a warning on it about not taking it with
iron
or magnesium and taking an hour away from food or drink. My cytomel doesn't have the same warning. Can I assume that food and drink don’t interfere with absorption with cytomel? Many thanks!

Help interpreting iron panel
I posted my latest blood results recently & it was suggested by a forum member that prior to trying T3 I obtain a full
iron
panel. Results are posted here. Ferritin seems fine but
iron
& transferrin saturation are low.

Grandfather FIT test result of 200...
In a blood test about 3 months ago, the GP noticed his
iron
was low. They re tested it again and it was falling dramatically. He feels tired and breathless also. He did a FIT stool test and it came back as 200. This is cancer isn't it ? I am so scared for him.

Iron tablets - difference?
I’m based in the UK and am currently taking Ferrous Fumerate (switched from Ferrous Sulphate) to try to increase ferritin levels. My Ferritin levels had gone up and now seem to have dropped a little for some reason - new tests being done soon. I don’t know if this Ferrous Bisglycinate is available

Oral iron regimen
I had an
iron
infusion (Newcastle uk) last December which put my serum ferritin up from 37 to 237, and helped considerably. However, it has gradually slipped back to 180, so I am hoping to start the oral gentle
iron
. Please can someone remind me of the best time to take these, and dosage.

Could This Be Thyroid?
We thought a lot of this might be due to silent migraines and
iron
deficiency so I had an
iron
infusion in January. Since then my fatigue has only gotten worse - starting with muscles cramps and pains and progressing to joint aches which I have never had before.

Id really appreciate your thoughts on my latest blood test results on Erfa 2 grains -still not feeling great- Im thinking bloods now? Help!
I’ve even bought some chicken liver pate this week which is tough as I was a veggie of nearly 40 years, for the last year I’ve eaten beef so thought I’d best try the pate as I cannot take
iron
due to a serum
iron
level above normal.

PV Research study
The drug is called rusfertide - it says it is designed to control the amount of
iron
available to make red blood cells. There is no financial compensation to be part of the study but it will help advance PV research.
