I stopped taking
iron
until can get full
iron
test done. My ferritin in Nov was 57. I did try and go back to my GP but no luck as I am in range. Thanks 😊

Can I ask a question for the ladies regarding period and blood testing
Hi After all the amazing information from this page I have booked an advanced thyroid blood yest
iron
and vitamins test. I've booked for next Wednesday the 17th but I'm due on my period any day now. Should I move my teat back another week or is this OK. Thank you so much in advance x

Maltofer
It's chief benefit is that it has fewer gastrointestinal side effects than the ferrous
iron
salts. Thanks.

TSAT low, ferretin high
My sleep medicine doctor suggested an
iron
infusion because my TSAT is 28,87% while my ferretin is 145,40ng/ml. I was taking
iron
supplement for 6 months before the test. I am not very knowledgeable about the difference between TSAT and ferritin.

Hi Until December last I was taking 40 mg
iron
bisglycinate with orange juice every two days. Since this had little impact on my RLS I increased the
iron
dose to 40mg every day from December until now. As yet I have noticed little change to my RLS symptoms.

Monitor My Health iron test - lack of ranges
I spent a bit more money on my MMH test this year as I’ve never had an
iron
panel done but have always had low
iron
indicators on a full blood test.

Elevated iron levels-advice please
Hi, Would just like a bit of advice. After years of infertility and miscarriages, we were referred for fertility testing. We have been refused for IVF on NHS due to diminished ovarian reserve which is pretty low for my age. I am 42 years old. I have always been aware that my haemaglobin has been on

Extremely weak legs
The doctors have taken bloods and that’s shown I have low folate and borderline low
iron
, he prescribed me folic acid and
iron
tablets but it’s not getting any better if anything it’s getting worse! He has also done a referral to haematology.

Advice after recent blood test results please
After decades of
iron
deficiency I had an
iron
infusion a few months ago (therefore ferritin now high), I inject B12 regularly for Pernicious Anaemia, 2 months ago I reduced my Levothyroxine to 100mcg following GP advice when my incorrectly taken blood test gave a TSH of under 0.3.

Blood test results
Pathology investigation report on the blood test suggests undertreatment/ malabsorption/ lack of adherence to treatment/ calcium or
iron
supplements or coeliac disease. I have been taking as instructed and don't take any supplements. Would the next logical increase be to 50mcg? Thanks

Interested in IBS symptoms
Blood tests about 2 years ago showed that I now have very low
iron
(although I’m not apparently anaemic). At first I was put on a big dose of an
iron
supplement for 4 months which brought my levels up to normal (although not, my GP said, what they might expect given how much
iron
I’d been taking).

Iron and ferritin advice requested
I have recently had a full set of
iron
and ferritin blood tests completed and would like some advice on the numbers, please (prior to these tests, only my ferritin levels have been tested). They result from early morning fasting with no
iron
supplements for one week.

Couple of questions re blood results
I'm taking
iron
tablets but maybe I need to take tablets with a high level or
iron
? I'm also waiting for an appointment at the neurovascular clinic as my GP contacted the hospital about the neurological symptoms I'm getting. Is that the correct referral though and are they likely to help me?

Low iron, supplementing with 3 Arrows
Hi everyone, I posted about a week ago after having
iron
studies done through the NHS, it came back that I wasn’t
iron
deficient enough to be treated by a doctor, but my levels were definitely low enough to start treatment since I’m already experiencing symptoms and don’t want to get worse…..
