Hi, Thank you for your replys regarding my results, I was unable to amend my original post for some reason so I've had to post again, I hope this doesnt cause any confusion on the forum. This time I've added my ranges, I am on 112.5mg of thyroxine daily. My original post: I am nearly 12 months post

Great news, not so great news and the AMD learning curve
My 1st Eylea injection in my left eye was June last year after which I've gone from every 4, then eventually 6, 8, 10 and now a 12 week gap between injections. The great news is that after my next injection in another 12 weeks they will stop but continue to monitor as the wet MD is pretty well dry now

Hi who has felt "normal" on levothyroxine?
Treated with radioactive iodine when I was 13 for hyperthyroidism and Graves' disease. Successfully treated and now hypothyroid. Currently taking levothyroxine but stopped for a few months and felt fine. Lab results came back and was extremely hyperthyroid with high cholesterol but mentally felt more

A Phase II Study of Curcumin and Vitamin D in Previously Untreated Patients with Early Stage Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) or Small Lym
Background: Current therapies for CLL/SLL have frequent toxicities, are non-curative, and several trials have demonstrated that early treatment of the disease doesn’t result in longer overall survival. In high doses, both curcumin (CM), from turmeric, and vitamin D (VD) have been shown to be safe in

Stopping thyroxine pre RAI treatment
Good afternoon I am going to have a six month check-up in November after having a total thyroidectomy and RAI treatment for cancer. I would like to know if I need to stop taking thyroxine and go on a low iodine diet before my next scan and possible further treatment. I have found varying opinions on

First Post, DME sufferer with approx. 40 injections
Diagnosed approx. 4 years ago, diabetic for the last 30 years. Had avastin injections in left eye for a while, then both eyes were treated and the right eye cleared completely after about 12 injections but left eye still has leakage. Ophthalmologist recently switched to Eylea so I think I'm on my 6th

Highly Illogical Captain. A GP explains why he relies on Thyroid Stimulating Hormone to measure thyroid performance.
Patient: Doctor, why do you measure Thyroid Stimulating Hormone? GP: Thats an easy one. TSH is a reliable indicator of Thyroid health. Patient: So, does the TSH come from the Thyroid gland then? GP: No, it comes from the pituitary gland. Patient: So is TSH a thyroid hormone? GP: Well no, it comes from

Thyroid and low GFR
I was treated for hyperthyroidism in 2004 with iodine. I am now hypothyroid. I am also CKD 3. My Endo recently changed my meds and my recent labs indicate that my level was at 8.6. Way too high which really means way too low. My meds have been since changed. My question relates to Thyroid and GFR level

In, out... in, ?
Went into Christie's as an emergency a week last Monday -things moved fast that day, ascites drainage and onto Ward 14 later that day. Was supposed to have a clinic appointment following day but told that someone would come and see me. Hubby went along at 5 to find all shut down and gone home.

Under-active thyroid
Hi. Two years ago, It has been diagnosed indirectly by blood test that my thyroid is under-activate and the TSH was 11. May be I have this condition but I have not notice that. I took Thyroxine 25 mg for two monhs but I did not retest my blood to check TSH again until one year later. The second test

Still not feeling well following RAI in January
Hello all. Am really struggling following RAI treatment in January and would welcome any advice. I was diagnosed with Graves 7 years ago and prescribed Carbimazole for 1 year and my Endo then stopped it and said to 'wait and see'. I relapsed and he suggested RAI which I resisted. I then took Carbimazole

Got results - what to make of them?
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and have found it really helpful. I recently had some blood tests done based on a visit to an endocrinologist regarding various health-related issues. They came back as follows, and I'm curious as to what to expect when I see him again. I'm a 38-year-old male with generally
