hospital unexpected visit
I had my niece go home and get some of my stuff like except cause they wanted to clean it with
iodine
or alcohol and I didn’t want them using that. So I learn how important it is to keep a little kit ready incase an emergency happens.

Iodine urine test do's and dont's?
My partner did two of these tests already and had strange results, the first test came back over 300 and the second 600, the range is up to 200, she is not aware of taking anything with
iodine
in it since stopping 4 drops of
Iodine
per day back in mid sept.

High TSH - and GP not advising treatment, any advice?
I've requested an appointment with the GP to discuss this as I'm not happy with a "do nothing" approach and at the very least, would like advice on any related issues such as diet (does
iodine
make a difference ?)

CT scan iodine query
This uses
iodine
based dye to show up the arteries. My question is, would that type of
iodine
(guessing it's a compound) impact my thyroid at all?

Algae calcium supplements?
If you also have thyroid problems has the
iodine
content affected your thyroid levels? I was diagnosed osteoporosis 3yrs ago trying to avoid medications as reacted to biphosphates.

Turns out, on top of adding four stones in weight since my Thyroid “treatment”(radioactive
iodine
), I’ve got gout. Clever chaps, these doctors. This wins me…yes you’ve got, folks…another, pat on the head from my own, personal Jesus aaaaaaand another prescription.

Treatment decision Hyperactive
Does some of your thyroid remain if you have a low dose of radioactive
iodine
meaning you may not go completely under active? Thank you for looking and any advice or thoughts you may offer.

Perplexing results. I wondered if anyone had any thoughts?
I was wondering if any one had any thoughts on my results I’m 14 years post RAI and have been on levothyroxine for 8 years and I seem to be very sensitive to dose change. I don’t have thyroid antibodies just a toxic adenoma. They run my T4 higher around 19- 22 for conversion for T3, my consultant

Graves disease Auto Immune Diet
Hello again. All has settled with tablets. Thyroid levels are normal again, so my Carbimazole dose has been reduced by half to 5 mg per day. I just wondered if anyone had tried any Thyroid diet plans with success. Not necessarily to lose weight, though I've put nearly a stone on with ATD but more

combined therapy help
Hi a little advise if possible: normally levo 125mg and thybon 5mg. A new endo has taken me off thybon to try and work out if I have diabetes inspidius (water balance issues). I think I was slightly too hyper but 3 weeks later and I feel terrible - weight gain, constipation, no apetite. I don’t think

Devastated
I went to my first three month blood test today. I am at Rai 0. I feel great. My WBC and Lymphocytes doubled in 3 months. I am starting V and O on Monday. I am pissed and scared. I had 3 months on Wait and Watch. Chronic was supposed to mean 3 years or 10 years before treatment. My wife and I are driving

long term carbimazole
I currently take 5mg Carbimazole alternate days. I have toxic nodules so stopping meds is not an option. Like many people on here I have been pushed towards RAI or surgery TT. Every time I feel I get near to a decision I learn something new! I am interested in what people have been told about staying

Carbimazole and severe bloating
I've been taking carbimazole now for 3 weeks but have been having extreme painful bloating in my abdomen. Not feeling sick and bowel movements are normal if not less regular. I cancelled my appointment for RAI to opt to try tablets first but this tummy ache is debilitating. Do side effects wear off

Iodine or surgery?
It’s back and I have been advised to have
iodine
or surgery. I asked if I could go on block and replace again and they have said no. Any advice on which people recommend? I have heard that the drink can make you put on weight? Thank you in advance.
