New here - hypothyroidism??
I know from all the reading I have done that
iodine
is important in the production of thyroxine so is this worth testing at this stage and if so which test would you recommend – standard or loading? Thank you for reading, glad to have found this community! 😊

Update - starting treatment 50mcg Levothyroxine, thank you for your previous advice
I also have a thyroid complex supplement containing B-12,
Iodine
, Magnesium, Zinc, Selenium, Copper, Manganese, Molybdenum, L-Tyrosine, Ashwaghanda Root, Kelp, Bladderwack powder. When is the best time to take this? Will any of it interact negatively with the Levothyroxine?

Low Thyroid Symptoms/Lab Test Results June 2020
The most recent one includes supplements that reportedly benefit the thyroid which include L-Tyrosine,
Iodine
, Potassium Iodide, Vitamin A, Selenium, Zinc, Vitamin D-3 and B-Complex. None of these supplements have made a noticeable difference.

Update feel much better
Dear All Wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support you showed me over the last few days . Hubby had a pain management review with GP and was prescribed codeine phosphate with paracetamol. I wasn’t convinced with this due to bad reviews of codeine so decided to stick

Coming off the pill
After my last period I have stopped taking the pill (I’ve been taking it for 11 years) as me and my partner are trying for a baby. My period is meant to be due 9th August, I’ve heard it’s likely to be extremely painful and quite heavy? Has anyone else experienced this? Will I still be able to take my

Possible Triggers
Hi all, Has anyone experienced a link between RLS getting worse by the regular use of painkillers for other problems? RLS started recently during lockdown and getting worse, even sometimes when I sit or watch TV. It seems to be worse after days when I take painkillers for managing back pain. The connection

Graves thyroid eye disease (TED) post-thyroidectomy?
Hi all, new here and would appreciate any info you may have re this issue. I've had Graves and associated TED for the past 5 years, and not wanting to be on meds any longer, and also to hopefully help the heart, I scheduled TT for end of 2020. Undecided on treatment
I’ve read so much about RAI and anti thyroid drugs and I still can’t decide which route to take. I know there are risks with both. I have been diagnosed with Graves and I’m currently on Propylthiouracil. I would like to get pregnant at some point so if I go down the tablet route and end up in remission

iodine
was all over the place. I always check who is the Injector after five bad experiences but I was outside.

Fascinating Graves’ Antibodies Study
This is a remarkable study https://eje.bioscientifica.com/view/journals/eje/158/1/69.xml . A couple of caveats. 1. I fortunately have no experience of Graves’. 2. I have not looked for similar studies that may report different results. The study is excellent in that patients were randomly assigned

Something without
iodine
? I'm just so confused. THIS TIME I'm 6-7 weeks pregnant. It feels like a miracle. But after 2 miscarriages and trying for almost 5 years I am so nervous and desperate to get this right. What do I need to do!?
