How long can you take meds?
hello everybody. I’ve been taking 40 mg of carbimazol and 100mg of levotheroxin as my bock and replace therapy for Grave’s disease for about 4 years. My levels kind of stable and “in range”. But the endo is constantly bringing the question that I had to stop all meds. I don’t agree with that as I know

Fast symptom changes.
Hi I have a question about hypothyroid symptoms. I was dx in Sept following RAI in July. Had TSH 87. Then in Dec took a dip again TSH went from

Codiene & RLS.
Hi hoochybaby I have been on most medications, most resent pregablin pramipexole & codeine which was increased to 60mgs . I am awaiting a telephone consultation with my nurologist. As I am now aware that the side effects of these meds are not good also I am sure I am augmenting. Codiene can help, but

GP reducing pain relief
Hi guys I’m at my wits end. I have stage 4 rectovaginal endo. I have had one surgery that confirmed this in 2016 and no further surgery. My last consultant follow up was a round 6 months ago. I am managing just about with analgesia and sheer powering through as I’m reluctant to have the surgery as much

My Thyroid Story Part III
After a lot of tossing the subject around, and her asking questions about what else I might be poisoning my body with that I had bought on-line - “Are you taking
iodine
or DHEA?” she asked. “No,” I said, “but I’ve taken both in the past…” “Ah ha!” she said. “both prescribed by doctors!”

Has anyone had kyphoplasty procedure to lumbar spine & how long did pain last?
My mom just had a kyphoplasty procedure last Tuesday to her lumbar spine as a precautionary procedure to strengthen her bone after having SBRT radiation. She has been taking codeine for the past few days but is still in a significant amount of pain, although the pain she experienced in her legs decreased

Gluten Free after RAI
Would anyone share their experience of going GF? What kind of improvements did you experience and how long did it take? I have Graves treated with RAI in 2008, I have seen GF recommended a lot, I wonder what benefits I could expect if my thyroid has been ablated anyway. Thanks!

Blood tests
So after 3 phone calls to my endocrinologists secretary for a copy of my bloods taken in November , I have finally managed to get them. Even though I asked for full bloods this is all that I have been sent, so beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. Could someone give me a bit of advice on how these are

Too hot to handle
I wrote about it month ago the symptoms of extreme temperatures changes that I was experiencing, and how my endocrinologist was not getting back to me even though I and my GP had contacted him. I had RAI treatment about it year ago and was put on levythroxine l. I have since found that my thyroid was

Embarrassment of dealing with extreme pain
Or.... Embarrassment 0f being ill Like most people, sorry it's been a while. I just had my first pain clinic, and thank FUNK that I got the reassurance that I so badly needed. Someone who actually understands what my pain is and doesn't appear to be scrutinising every word and action so they can use

Advice on levothyroxine, supplements and possible T3 addition after thyroid cancer and treatment
Advice on levothyroxine dose, supplements and possible T3 addition after thyroid cancer and treatment I’m looking for some guidance/advice on a few issues if possible as feeling pretty lost and a bit overwhelmed on what to do next. I’ve been reading a lot of posts and information on here for a few months

From fireworks to iodine and IQ: the perchlorate connection
All of tested positive for perchlorate, and many also had low
iodine
levels. Children born to women with the highest levels of perchlorate and the lowest levels of
iodine
were found to be at greater risk of significant IQ loss. So what’s the connection between perchlorate,
iodine
and IQ?

RLS TREATMENT: Every day I read questions and answers on this forum and I would like to share with you some of my concerns
about the replies given to the many RLS sufferers who are struggling with their medication. All medications, if you read the leaflets, have side-effects and complications and at the end of the day, we have to weigh up which ones are going to be effective for each of us individually. 1.Dopamine Agonists
