What is my status
Please could someone clarify this for me as had an overactive thyroid which was knocked out with RAI. I am Thyroxine which, thank goodness, has stabilised me so that I am Euthyridic (sp) however there are the occasional flareups of eye problems associated with Throid Eye Disease. What I am really confused

Heights Smart Supplement - should I stop? Advice
I was mainly worried because i gathered that
Iodine
doesn't help with Hashimoto's? Should I get a test for
Iodine
? I also plan to up my intake of Selenium, as I read it's best to have around 200mcg a day?

High(ish) dose Carbimazole long term?
I've now been taking it for over 4 years; had radio
iodine
last May, which didn't work at all, so after a while back on Carbimazole. They said they'd consider repeating the radio
iodine
after 6 months, but I don't think they have time for anything like that at the moment.

The iodine question
Hello, I am pondering on
iodine
supplementation. The b-complex I used it buy have changed the formula to add
iodine
so I am trying another one. However my nutritionist friend has incouraged me to have some
iodine
as it is important for healthy breast tissue and ovaries.

parathyroid
Today tcpace raised a good point about the parathyroid and if surgeons aim to preserve them. This is something I’ve wondered about with relation to RAI, as I can’t imagine anything in its wake would survive. Any thoughts/knowledge?

Iodine Patch Test
Anyway, I just did an
iodine
patch test out of curiosity so I can discuss with my GP when I get my blood results back. I put one drop of 15% lugols
iodine
on my forearm and it’s literally disappeared within an hour! Does this mean I’m definitely deficient in
iodine
?

Teva levothyroxine solution, any positive results for anyone?
Hi Has anyone tried Teva levothyroxine solution, and had positive results compared to taking any levothyroxine tablets? To cut a very long story short, the 75 mcg Wockhardt tablets I take are causing terrible pressure all over body and excruiciating burning through top of my head. So bad I collapse.

T4 Reduction to increase TSH
In January I was taking 150 T4 daily and 2x5mg T3, my bloods were T4=18.1 (9-19) T3 4.98 (2.6-5.7) TSH <0.03(0.35-4.94). I have been taking T3 since Oct 2019 because I felt so ill, tired, hair loss, dry skin, muscle and joint problems. With the help of much advice on here I started taking supplements

Naturally high vitamin B12
I have had a few tests over the last few years which include Vitamin B12. I am worried that I may not be transporting it to cells as it is very high fir someone does not take supplements. See photo? Everything I question this the doctor just says we'll that's good isn't it. Is it? From what I read
