"Conclusions: Thyrotoxicosis can be well controlled with minimal specialist clinic attendance using a software-supported virtual shared-care scheme. Long-term ATD appears to be a valid patient choice achieving TFT control comparable to that seen after RAI or surgery."

As you probably know I regularly offer the research we already have which says much the same thing - but sadly at grass roots level this toxic substance is still offered as first line treatment option - as it was with me.
How long does it take for medically reviewed research papers to be read and implemented ?
Just recently the BTF decided to research into the consequences of RAI thyroid ablation for Graves but have only allocated a grant for 2 years so another white wash, and a waste of time and money when we already have the ' uncomfortable research ' !!
