Hello there! Yes acovid affect asthma, I had covid back in march, I still have wheezing everyday. My asthma came back after 16 years off.
Is it possible that your CVA is flaring up due to the change in season towards Autumn - lower temperatures, more humid air? Sometimes I find my chest changes even when we change back to warmer/drier weather - like it it doesn't like the 'transition'.
Covid can affect asthma, as all viruses can, bit it doesn't mean it definitely will - many people with asthma haven't faired any worse with covid than non-asthmatics. Also as Mark says above, it's quite likely your asthma is flaring for another reason entirely. Maybe call your GP or asthma nurse to discuss things?
We went out for a walk on Sunday. The weather was cold and very windy and my chest felt absolutely awful.
I couldn’t remember if I had taken my brown inhaler - I’m positive I did but it obviously didn’t help - I couldn’t wait to get home and take my blue one which I never take under normal circumstances.
In a way I’m glad we have to wear face masks because it stops me from having to inhale chilly air.
