Further Update: Multiple Chest Infections

Quick question
Hi hope everyone is ok. I just have a quick question ohh actually might be two in one. I’ve been taking Fostair inhaler with spacer for nearly a week now, I think it is helping so far, although it made me shaky the first few times of taking it, and I get a mild tickly throat. I also have ventolin as

Skin allergies
Hello there to everyone. First want to thank everyone who replied to me on my previous post. I consulted a doctor as advised and I have gotten much better. I'm now on montelukast and given another inhaler. (still Seretide because of tachycardia that doesn't flow well with salbutamol) The problem now

Question about vaccine eligibility
Apologies if it's been covered already but I couldn't find anything following a search of the forum. Do you ever go back to “normal”?
I am 49, work a physical job and single (widowed) mother to 2 teenagers. 🙄🙄 I was only diagnosed with asthma this year following 6 months of worsening SOB ended in a 3 day emergency hospital admission. I was discharged with my 5 day course of steroids, and Symbicort SMART inhaler. I also take Fexofenadrine

Pneumonia or Thyroid?
Hi All, Firstly, thank you to everyone who contributes to this forum, which is a god send to those of us with GP’s who aren’t informed about thyroid disease, to say the least. I’m sorry if this post is a little long but I’m putting down everything I think might be relevant – essentially I’ve had very

PMR and asthma
Hi everyone. I’m wondering whether there is anyone else with PMR who is also asthmatic. All my adult life it has largely been well-controlled with a daily preventative inhaler and very occasional use of a reliever. In the last few months, PMR diagnosed in June this year, the asthma has been worse. My

Inhalers and Atrial Fibrillation

Allergic to inhalers. Is there an alternative?
My job is lecturing and I constantly have a croaking voice due to the
inhalers
. So I stopped taking them. I recently restarted and still the same problem but also, I have the most dreadful sore tongue and throat. Can I be allergic to them? They don;t seem to be controlling my asthma anyway.

Anyone else on Tiotropium - Braitus (via a Zonda inhaler)
Anyone else on Tiotropium - Braitus (via a Zonda inhaler) have been on this just 2 weeks and feel absolutely brilliant - was a bit dubious at first due to listed side effects but am really glad I was finally prescribed it. Lung consultant told me back in Feb he was prescibing it and said he would write

Frustrated with GP
The past couple of months I have been struggling a bit with my asthma, I’ve been 3 times now this year alone and every time I get told my asthma is bad because I’m taking my
inhalers
wrong! Again everything I’ve learnt it from the GP.

Hi, Can anyone advise me on using a spacer with Fostair please
I’ve used a spacer with salbutamol and given it a shake before use, but I’m not sure if I need to shake Fostair before using it with a spacer. Is it a powder inhaler? I’ve been on Duoresp spiromax, which I took without a spacer and it wasn’t necessary to shake it before use. But now I’ve changed to

How long do side effects last after stopping using inhalers
From your experience, how long did side effects from asthma
inhalers
last after you stopped taking the inhaler? Just wondering if 10 days is enough or I should wait longer to prove that my back pain is not a side effect from flixotide Thanks

I am a new member recently diagnosed I have a mild Bronchiectasis condition recently diagnosed. Elevated liver enzymes - methotrexate? Asthma inhalers? Overweight?
The only things that have changed recently are I've been put on asthma
inhalers
(brown preventer inhaler every day, blue ventolin inhaler as needed) having seemingly developed asthma post-infection back in April with possible covid.

How long for seretide 250 to take full effect?
Hi I've recently been diagnosed with Gerd and ashtma after a viral. I've been on the seretide 250 for two weeks using it with an aero chamber. I was previously on fostair 100 but was taking it the maximum amount each day so my doctor tried me on this. I'm also taking montekulast which helps I think but
