constant throat clearing
I have a problem with constantly needing to clear my throat, it is not a problem when i lay down at nightime. I was prescribed brown preventer inhaler. Nurse told me that symptom of asthma is throat clearing? Can anyone say if they have had similar issue and also how long did it take for the inhaler

Trimbow v Braltus
I've been lurking a while, my wife has COPD and T1 diabetes for 50+ years. Also a lifetime smoker. Paradoxically, the COPD has worsened considerably in the year since she stopped. After recent exchange with her GP we switched from Braltus to Trimbow and the improvement in frequency and severity of flare

Asthma or bronchiectasis???
Hello all, I've had mild asthma all my life but the last few years it has become difficult to control with the regular
inhalers
. Bronchitis- prednison events 3 times a year. Last winter I was put on nebuliser (corticosteroids plus extra saline) treatment, and that really helps.

COPD... Symbicort or Budesonide??
Hi All, I tried Spiriva and had fast heart beat, so had to come off it. I've tried a few steroids and not worked too well raised my anxiety etc or just felt generally unwell. Heard good things about budesonide and I'm taking ventolin anyway, so may stick with this or should is it best just to go

Asthma or COPD?? Diagnosed by Dr's but no test available at mo! Please help
I feel like I've been stuck on steroid
inhalers
when it may have been unwarranted... How can you tell the difference between asthma/COPD?! Sorry for the long rant but I'd love to know similar stories or thoughts on this.

Spiriva
Started on Spiriva a few days ago. Is this an inhaler that takes a few weeks to see an improvement with breathing? Not good with medication... always seem to have side effects. Hope this helps with no issues. Also... I am quite new to this forum with only one other post. I am amazed at all the caring

Hi guys, I’ve always had problems with my chest, shortness of breath and heaviness. My mum has asthma so, it was no surprise when the doctor suspected I have asthma or at least, hay fever that severely effects my breathing. Anyway, I have a blue inhaler and brown inhaler. Fostair Advice
I have recently been diagnosed with underlying asthma, having developed breathing issues during lockdown. I have been prescribed Fostair 100/6 and have tried both the inhaler and NEXThaler options, both of which evoke side effects of hoarseness, dry mouth ulcers and mucus overproduction. Of the two,

Asthma and Lost Voice!
Having used a number of
inhalers
I have been changed from Fostair to Trimbone to see if that will help control my asthma (shortness of breath, coughing, fatigue etc). I also take monteklast tablets daily and ventolin reliever as and when.

What's the next step?
I am usually a very well controlled asthmatic - take sirdupla 125/25 two puffs twice a day and rarely if ever need to use my salbutamol inhaler. Most of my asthma attacks have been able to be managed at home.. as I often get some warning symptoms of having to use my inhaler more. This time, i've

Lung Stiffness
My peak flow hasn't changed, and I dont have any chest tightness or any other asthma-y symptoms, but I've noticed over the last few days whenever I'm taking my
inhalers
my lungs feel stiff and sore on the inhale. Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

Query about shadow on my left lower lung
Hi, I had a chest x-ray and abdominal x-ray at the hospital on Sunday due to having abdominal pain which was diagnosed as gastritis. This morning, a consultant radiologist rang me and told me that they have seen a shadow in my lower left lung. They said it could be a number of things including infection

Should I be in group 6 for the vaccine due asthma?
Hi, I've been told all those using a steroid inhaler should be in group 6 for the covid vaccine, but my GP surgery has told me I'm in group 9 (I'm aged 50-55) and that they don't decide the groups, it's NHS England. Any other asthmatics in group 6? The government advice says 'severe asthma' is a qualifying
