I was under Trafford hospital, since 20002, I have been trying to get
infliximab
there for the last two yrs. I moved to north manchester 6yrs ago, I was still going to Trafford up to February, this year, it was getting too much for me, and I had seen the consultant once in all those yrs.

MTX and lung problems.
I started back on MTX a couple of months ago as a side drug to my
Infliximab
treatment. Within hours of taking my second dose I had an allergic reaction just like hayfever - sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose. Over the last few weeks these attacks keep recurring at random.

Does anyone have problems with lymph gland on face infections. My daughter had what looked like a cyst that burst oozing puss down her face.
She is due for her fifth IV
Infliximab
in two weeks and her body is telling us its needing it now. Amazing medication. But all in all a much happier little girl. Xx

Confused about the meds I'm taking..
I'm on methotrexate and
infliximab
and feeling so much better than I did this time last year. However, I am still in pain with stiff joints but no swelling. Am I right in thinking the meds are there to control the long-term damage and I just have to put up with the pain.

I've had my second
Infliximab
infusion, this time in a room with three other women so we had a right old jaw while our meds went in. I'm down to 2.5mg Prednisolone but no joint pain has recurred so I'm thinking the
Infliximab
is doing its job.

Considering the J-Pouch.
Hi, I had UC for 7 years and was in remission for 5 of those, then about 2 years ago i had the mother of all flare-ups, tried everything available and nothing worked, even the magical drug of
infliximab
- it didnt even work a bit.

Anyone else have a Behcet's body that attacks everything it comes into contact with, besides just itself?
I do know that this does happen with Behcet's because my rheumatologist explained the reasoning why I need to take an immune suppressant drug along with the
Infliximab
infusions, is because of the behcet's, my body will start producing antibodies against the drug itself and flush it out of my system.

Disappearing veins? And MTX allergic reaction question.
When I had my canula in for the
Infliximab
infusion the nurse had to use a vein part way up my forearm and said she was having trouble locating a vein. Has anyone else noticed a sudden difference in how easy it is to have blood taken?

Survived my first Infliximab!
I was a bit scared, I tend to expect the worst but I'm home now, not still in hospital in an iron lung or something. I was there 6 hours in all as the first infusion needs to be done slowly. I was given two paracetamols and a Piriton before we started. The canula had to be put in half way up my forearm

Had my first Infliximab infusion yesterday at Aintree ...
I'm sure it was just
Infliximab
on its own and non of the other stuff that you guys have been mentioning that you had as well to stave off any side effects - so I will have to ask Denise ( Behcets ) nurse to see wots wot .

Rheumy today - tests tests tests!
My
Infliximab
treatment will start as soon as they can fit me in, to start with I need to have two, two weeks apart, then another four weeks after then every eight weeks. Biggest negative side to it is I need to go back on MTX, I said OK but the lowest possible dose please!

Home again & hopefully for a long time.
The uveitis & pressure are under control for the moment, so I feel positive the
Infliximab
is working. We have also been told to take Jaida regularly (weekly) to a psychologist. I think this will be beneficial as Jaida is worrying about missing school & at time her future.

Stem cell treatment in Germany
Well I must say I don't know what to do, as the 3rd
Infliximab
hasn't mad an ounce of difference to her 6 month flair. We hate watching Jaida in constant pain & I feel weak for not jumping at this treatment.

Insurance denied Infliximab - $28k bill
I live in the US - I have Aetna for health insurance. We specifically chose the highest plan my husbands employer offers, paying $800 a month (company matches half, so $1600 a month), for lower co-pays, lower deductibles, lower co-insurance. I have an autoimmune disease, called Behcet’s. I have used

My daughter was in hospital, getting out just before Easter. Photo in paper & as usual paper put wrong information to print. ??
Good news is Jaida just had her 3rd
Infliximab
infusion yesterday & today she looks good. After only being at school 7 half days last term, I think Jaida will start half days next week. Little steps, if she does too much her little body will pay for it. I'm so excited for her.
