Hi can anyone help i am on methotrexate by injection once a week and i also have infliximab infusions every 8 weeks but nothing is working

How long have you been taking these? MTX can take at least three months to start working properly, and Infliximab may take up to six months.

If it hasn't been that long yet, you could ask for a steroid injection to try and calm things down a bit while the injections start to work. Also you could talk to your rheumatologist about increasing the dose of the infliximab, or how frequently you have it. If it really isn't working and youve given it enough time, then there are other anti-tnf drugs they could swap you to.

I have been on mtx for about 2 years now the infliximab infusion i have had for about 6 months i also had a steroid injection 3 weeks ago i am due to see my rheumatologist doctor at the end of may i have got my fingers crossed that he is going to try my on something else. Thanks for your answer

sorry to hear this, think this one is for your rheum team or GP to suggest other options/ new pain killers.
