Could my psa variations be a result of lab errors ?
I don't think these variances are psa bounces in context of post
IMRT
bounces - since the
IMRT
was completed 5 1/2 years before these patterns were seen. And since before the dates below, the psa kept going up once it started back up. I do recall several bounces in the first 2 years after
IMRT
.

Progress Stalled , what to do ?
I have also had 45
IMRT
treatments and was expecting better results. Radiation finished in march of 17. I am under care of a local urologist and the teton cancer center in Idaho Falls, ID. My question is should I have better results (lower PSA) relief of hydronephrosis.

Correct Therapy for High Risk PCa (Gleason 9)
I am still fighting with me regarding the therapy decission as German Uros prefer the Operation first and followed by a
IMRT
if necessary and the Radiooncologists prefer Initial
IMRT
+ ADT for 24 months as curative therapies.

Axumin PET Scans?
I guess this test also helps with
IMRT
radiation treatments if the cancer has spread to abdominal lymph nodes. So there is that...I found the most helpful info here: https://www.verywell.com/axumin-pet-scans-for-prostate-cancer-4126111.

Radiate pelvic lymph nodes or start Provenge and Enzalutamide ??
Trial clinic went silent and didn't return my calls for 3 months so I went with my scans in hand back to my original cancer center where a different Rad Onc advised we could target these nodes with
IMRT
( stressing that there were no promises of course) and we proceeded with preparations for
IMRT
.

Then there is the
IMRT
boondoggle that replaced Lupron as the next big money maker. What about those compassionate folks at Cancer Treatment Centers of America...turns out they only want cancer patients with Cadillac Insurance Plans so they can bill sky high fees.

New to site. Diagnosed at 50.
IMRT
. No detectable PSA since surgery. Now I go in every 3 months. During surgery, nerves were spared but not able to have erections still. On Cialis and using pump daily. Hope that comes back soon but I know everyone reacts differently. I enjoy this forum.

What to expect post surgery from PSA scores
I did
IMRT
in 2001, went 10 years with a gradual rising PSA. Then in 2011, with a new biopsy, completed a brachytherapy. Went 5 years with rising PSA to 11.3 and did the above surgery on 11/15/16 at the U. of Minnesota.

Radiation as a first-line treatment
The surgeon that I consulted did not leave me with a feeling of confidence, and I also consulted with a radiation oncologist who recommended
IMRT
. I went back to my urologist for a final consult and I took the less intrusive option,
IMRT
. Fast forward to 2013 and the cancer is back at a 4+5.

Surgery was deemed to dangerous so he had

Tumor near sacrum
I have had robotic prostatectomy and
IMRT
radiation and am on third round of intermittent hormone therapy for prostate cancer. I recently found out that I had positive lymph nodes for the first time and a small tumor forming near the sacrum.

I'm a new member
The cancer also spread to my brain in 2008, and I was treated with a craniotomy and five targeted dosages of intensity modulated radiotherapy (
IMRT
). I've been taking Herceptin and my cancer has been stable for awhile. I'm also a member of the HER2 Support Group message board.

Insurance cost for IMRT
Need help, Can you please share approved cost of
IMRT
by different insurance companies for 28-33 fractions. I was misled to believe that cash is cheaper compared to Insurance, now it turns out to be other way around.

HIFU for Stage 2?
I am in the queue to get
IMRT
external beam radiation as my TURP'd prostate not considered a candidate for surgery. I'd have to reach into my own pocket to go with HIFU -- my insurance won't cover it. Anyone with HIFU experience? Is it that much better/safer than radiation for me to consider it.
