We might for the first time really be thinking of cures of cancer’
Now, about 60% of patients see a very significant benefit from
immunotherapy
. Even more exciting, for a percentage of patients, the melanoma isn't coming back. We might for the first time really be thinking of cures of cancer.

PSA still low but cancer progressing
I asked about other potentially useful treatments such as Pluvicto or
immunotherapy
drugs but he said they were not recommended as the next step. I think he's just following the NHS script for treatment progression.

Prostate cancer morphed into NEPC
Now I'm on carboplatin, etoposide and Atezolizumab- chemotherapy and

Secondary adrenal insufficiency after immunotherapy
I begun chemo and
immunotherapy
(Pembrolizumab/Keytruda) in September 2022. In January 2023 I finished the chemo and ten days latter I had an Addisonian Crisis. The
immunotherapy
destroyed my pituitary gland along with the tumor.

Radiation for Salvage Treatment
Are there any other promising treatments such as
immunotherapy
or vaccines, including ones in clinical trials, that could provide a better outcome? How about treatments outside US? Tall_allen, you certainly know a lot about different kinds of treatments including those in clinical trials.

Chemotherapy and kidney disease
Chemo and
immunotherapy
started yesterday, a gruelling regime of weekly treatment for 3 months followed by 3 weekly. I know the oncologist will keep a close eye on my bloods as the
immunotherapy
especially is known for toxicity to organs.

A small
immunotherapy
drug trial is making a big difference in the fight against cancer. Tumors vanished after 6 months of an experimental therapy called dostarlimab.

FDA Investigating 'Serious Risk' of Malignancy After CAR-T Therapy - Applies to all approved therapies, but benefits still outweigh risks
"Finally, we know that cancer
immunotherapy
such as checkpoint blockade for solid tumors, which does not rely on gene therapy, can very rarely result in T-cell lymphomas."

Immunotherapy
? Trials? Etc etc (I’m BRAC -ve). Just wondering what I could ask for. Also, what’s the best place to go for a 2nd opinion? I’m in North Essex.
