Is there an "oligometastatic state" for prostate cancer (but not in breast cancer or lung cancer)?
All were given systemic therapy (90% had both
immunotherapy
+ chemotherapy). 81 were treated with "consolidative therapy" radiation/surgery to the lung and all metastatic sites followed by systemic therapy. After 2 years of follow-up: • Overall survival was the same in both groups.

Activating lipid nanoparticles can streamline the production of CAR T-cells for cancer immunotherapy
A bio- engineering breakthrough is reported here https://phys.org/news/2024-03-method-car-cells-lipid-nanoparticles.html and the article includes a link to the open access research paper. Sorry, that's all folks. This is a phone and I'm on holiday. Italy shouldn't be this wet. Ciao.

Intersitial Lung Disease and Lung Cancer
We have been told he cannot have radiotherapy or
immunotherapy
because of intersitial lung disease and was wondering if anyone on these threads had any further information on treatments for ILD and Lung Cancer. So far I am not having any luck in finding any alternative treatments.

CCR6 & CCL20 are the key drivers in prostate tumor microenvironment.
I find this interesting on using arthritis drugs injected into tumor during
immunotherapy
instead of steroids.

I was hoping to just get to
immunotherapy
tbh but it looks like you need to do at least 2 series of chemo first to be eligible... so, anyone else had a similar treatment plan? Did it work for you? Shrink tumours? Keep things at bay for a bit?

Plant Virus Fights Breast Cancer (similar to Prostate Cancer) in Mice With 'Widespread Effectiveness
The virus doesn't directly attack cancer cells in mice, but acts as a form of
immunotherapy
– a treatment that helps the body's own immune system find and destroy cancer.

AMG 509 (Xaluritamig): update on this immunotherapy for mCRPC
They published the first findings on Cancer Discovery. "Efficacy as measured both by PSA and objective response by RECIST were encouraging in this heavily pretreated mCRPC population, and responses occurred with greater frequency in the higher-dose cohorts. PSA declines were seen starting with 0.1 mg

Immunotherapy
is doing great things but not yet hitting PCa as we would like. Repurposing is making good steps forward but as adjuvant (which is important anyway). Oh whichever comes first is welcome of course!! 😜😜😜 Have a great weekend!
