Keytruda "failed in trials" means the positive response rate was lower than the target. The manufacturer had great expectations that if they picked the patients with the "right" genetic mutations they would meet/exceed their target. Their choices were wrong. My husband did not have any of the "right" genetic mutations and couldn't get into the trial for many years. Finally after all SOC treatments had failed and he was failing, the MO got Merck to agree to compassionate use. He is a super responder, go figure! Don't knock it until after you've tried it. You might be one of the lucky guys. Odds aren't great ~1 in 5, but the current Kentucky Derby winner was a 3x longer shot.
