This is an interesting report, especially since I was on Keytruda for two years and am now in remission (no evidence of disease) for 19 months.

As busy as urologists and oncologists are, I question whether they would have time to read a report like this. When I go into their office, patients are in every room and the phone is ringing off the hook. Just wondering how much the typical urologist/oncologist is informed on the latest studies.

I am worried about it as well. With the exponential increase of information and decrease of doctors (we have great ones in Italy but they make much more money going to work outside Italy) I am not even sure they can keep up with the latest 3 months of research. I cannot keep up and I do that basically full time since my diagnosis and I have a research background!

I think this is an excellent overview of a very complex subject. One thing it fails to mention is that there is a small percentage of patients for which immunotherapy causes hyperprogression. I'm one of them. I have all the markers that suggest Keytruda would work - MSI-H, high TMD, MMR-d. Had 3 rounds of Keytruda and my PSA, which was going up slowly prior, soared. (1st Keytruda was June - last result under 4)) Was told (& read) may take 3 does to kick in.

PSMA PET has showed significant progression. Only positive is I'm now a better candidate for Pluvicto, which I just started on Monday.

Dammit I am sorry! I hope you will get great results with pluvicto. Lately I am keeping an eye on crispr cas9 technique as there should soon be great news about gene editing.
