immuno stopped due to inflammation
morning everyone , I’m currently on
immunotherapy
( only had two so far) but this month I’ve developed a cough , chest infection, the hospital checked and say there is inflammation and infection in my lungs , either as a result of

We’ve now had the oncology appointment and Mums PDL1 is 100% and
immunotherapy
is the recommended treatment. We are due to start pembroluzumab (keytruda) to start every 3 weeks in the next month.

Things he is thinking about are a trial with
immunotherapy
, radiotherapy or chemotherapy and he’s not ruling surgery out just yet either. This is a very different approach to my previous hospital who told me they could not offer me anything else after the chemo didn’t do much.

I started a tougher chemo regiment with
immunotherapy
and completed 8 of the 12 treatments before taking a break for cryoablation. During the procedure, my tumor bled and a frozen blood clot formed. The clot lodged in such a way that it caused me to go into cardiac arrest.

Dealing with NED in this stage 4 appendix cancer journey
