An Alternative to taking tablets.
I have been refused an
ICD
due to not being able to take tablets supposedly you need to be on maximum dose of everything. Also does anyone know of any cardiologists that think out if the box as we aren't all the same. Willing to travel if needed.

Endo using mirena coil and hair loss
Hello, I have endo and polycystic ovaries and I’m using the mirena coil to treat this. However I have hair loss and have lost a lot of hair in the back of my head. Has anyone ever experienced hair loss with the coil? If so what have you done for treatment? Thanks

I have had a CBG and weak Mitral valve repair since 2017 and an
ICD
fitted in 2018. At present I have been prescribed medication which includes apixaban/bisoprolol/and entresto. I have heard that one or all of the drugs can cause bladder problems.

DCM question
I've been told that the underlying cause is very likely to be genetic and that, even after a planned ablation to fix an arrhythmia, I'm not likely to get the EF above 35% and will likely need an
ICD
as the heart will remain significantly impaired.

Has anyone experienced a reduction of heart scarring?
I have a lot of scarring on my heart and to be honest it really scares me, it’s the primary reason I was told to have an
ICD
fitted. I’m quite young and I eat healthy so I’ve been looking in to ways to reduce heart scarring.

Immunologist referral
Hi everyone. Sorry a bit long winded.🥺 Recently I have developed reactions to medication. In January I developed rash to my HRT patch that I had been using for 6months, then an allergy to my perfume. In Feb I started on methotrexate for my arthritis but I got really bad nausea that lasted 4 weeks, then

Adenomyosis and endometriosis doubling progesterone pill
Yesterday I was diagnosed with adenomyosis on a scan and probably endometriosis. Initial options are the coil or doubling my progesterone pill. I’ve doubled and feel awful! Upset stomach and nausea, can’t be a coincidence? Does anyone have any experience with the coil that’s positive? I’m at a loss

Driving with an ICD
(Further to my question '
ICD
fired during dinner') The pacing clinic reported that my
ICD
firing was appropriate, and that I should not drive for six months. I have a painful hip which limits my walking exercising.

Driving after ICD
I had my
ICD
check on Monday, 8 weeks after it was fitted. I asked if I could start driving again as I only had to stop for a month because it's a primary prevention fitting. They said I have to speak to my GP as it's the GPS decision.

Cardiac Arrest survivor
Hi everyone, new here so just a quick (or not) intro; isn't it great to be alive! Glad you're on this mortal coil as well, long that may remain. It's been 18 months since that fateful day that my family went through the hell of seeing me with my heart stopped. They rallied round and took it in turns

Can a 3 year old MIRENA coil cause thrush symptoms.
Hi all this is my first post. I’ve had the mirena coil for the last 3 and a half years. I got this after being diagnosed with PCOS at an early age and not having much luck with the pill. I am undergoing a huge period of consistent pain and now I’m in the process of going in for surgery to see if

Mirena coil side effects
Hi there I got the Mirena coil in six months ago and was wondering what peoples experiences were in terms of how long your body takes to adjust to it. Two months after getting it I now have perioral dermatitis on my face, vulva eczema and spots of my chest and back. My mood has been slightly off also

ICD fired during Dinner
ICD
fired recently whilst eating meal, and my GP is suggesting increase dose to 10mg daily but I am concerned about postural / post-prandial syncome low BP. Is it wise to increase this dose?

Thyroid swelling
About 2.5 years ago I noticed my neck looked a bit swollen and I feel like it’s got steadily more pronounced. Blood tests (FBC and U&Es and free T3, free T4 and TSH) are normal and my ultrasound was normal and the GP couldn’t feel anything when he felt my neck. I’m 31, a midwife doing shift work and

Subcutaneous ICD
I've just come across this forum and wanted to see if anyone had any advice or knowledge on having a subcutaneous
ICD
fitted. Particularly the effects on a young (ish!) female.
