Movements after pacemaker / icd insertion...
Morning all, I'm about to have an
icd
fitted. At present I haven't been able to find good guidance on movements with my left arm that are deemed OK... Or appropriate exercises to ensure my shoulder doesn't freeze up. Can anyone help?

Fatigue after ICD
I was curious if others have experienced these issues post
ICD
. He’s now becoming depressed because he has always been active and fun-loving. He initially attributed it to his knee arthritis but now he has had TKR (in March) and did extremely well.

ICD advice please
One of the questions I will ask is in regard to when the
ICD
;” goes off”. Crazy question but the stuff I have read talks about pain being felt in the chest area (where the heart is wired up ) but can anyone describe what this feels like please ?

I have an

ICD,s
My partner has recently been fitted with an
ICD
in rather a fast manner following a call to attend A& E when this Heart Loop Recorder noted a 10 second Ventricular Standstill. He was unaware of this until his heart monitor team called but down the line he was fitted with an
ICD
that day.

Oocha and icd placement.
I ended up going to a wonderful hospital where I eventually was fitted with an
ICD
, and discovered that I have myocarditis. Unfortunately 2.5 weeks later i was back in because the atrial wires were not in the correct place.

Guidance needed for decision making of implanting ICD
I have met few Cardiologists in India and I have got a mixed response in suggestion for an
ICD
Some says its Critical, and some says its my choice and I can choose not to have it I need some guidance into if I should get an
ICD
and will it be a wise decision?

travelling with an ICD
I haven’t flown since my
ICD
was implanted. Do security need any particular proof? I have my card with the device details but wondered if I need a letter from the hospital. I’m flying to Italy from Gatwick.

How long for the intense pain of an ICD install to ease?
Had my
ICD
installation this morning. Oh my days, it feels like I have a spear through my shoulder ( or how I imagine that would feel anyway!) Consultant said worst pain lasts a week, please tell me he exaggerated, and it won't be too bad in a few days 🤔

A FIB
Even though I have a recent
ICD
fitted. My cardiologist has advised I take Amioderone for a while until an Ablation is available, which will take a while as there is a long wait for this. This medication can have severe side effects. Any advice would be welcome.

I am 53 and require an ICD
I am 53 and require an
ICD
and scared but also want and need to continue an active life. Currently in Atrial Fibrillation and a degree of heart block. I also have a cardiac Gene that causes issues with conduction and cardiomyopathy.

Amiodarone / Cordarone
Had an
ICD
fitted in Feb 2022 and was put on max dose of Betablockers , 200 mg. Alas over the weekend had a series of dizzy spells which ended with a massive shock from the
ICD
. Emergency admission, very dramatic, followed by second massive shock . Ended up in ICU .

ICD site sore
Hey all.I've had my
ICD
for almost 3 years now. Just wondering if anyone gets random soreness around the site? I don't get it all the time but sometimes it feels bruised or like I'm being pinched. It's very uncomfortable when it happens, also it can be anytime of the day.

ICD implant
I have CPVT but just recently I have had a
ICD
implant because I was getting 7 second intermitting pauses in my heart rhythm. Does anyone else fell the little pulses? They don't hurt at all but make me aware of my heart rhythm. Do they eventually settle down. Thank you
