Amiodarone / Cordarone

Hi to Everyone,

Hoping for some advice, information on what to expect next. Had an ICD fitted in Feb 2022 and was put on max dose of Betablockers , 200 mg. Alas over the weekend had a series of dizzy spells which ended with a massive shock from the ICD. Emergency admission, very dramatic, followed by second massive shock . Ended up in ICU . Am now being stabilized with Cardarone, interveniously, and ablation deemed unsuitable. Longer forecast is oral dose of Cordaone, which seems to be the brand name for Amiodarone, together with continued use of BetaBlockers. Just hoping that someone may have information on what to expect with this combination of meds, effects, side effects, prognosis, any info would be very much appreciated.

Sounds like a awful experience yo went through

I have no advice to offer but as you posted a few weeks ago I hope things have settled down and you are feeling better x
