Flair trail update Ibrutinib and Rituximab round 4
I am told that it might be just a matter of finding the appropriate level of
Ibrutinib
for me. I hope so.

CLL and Secondary Cancer
Then they went the
Ibrutinib
route and it seemed to work like a charm, white count went down, spleen returned to normal size and was feeling okay, with few side effects. Then came the back pain, the horrible back pain.

Hospital unable to do viral studies. Ibrutinib?
I saw my specialist who wanted to make sure there was no underlying viral cause to all of my symptoms before doing any more invasive testing. I waited nervously for two weeks and when I went back to see him he said the lab had sent a note saying that they could not do the viral studies because my blood

Husband with p53 deletion
He was supposed to start FCR in February but the Dr told us this has "thrown a spanner in the works" and is possibly thinking
Ibrutinib
along with FCR.

Ibrutinib/Gazyva
After being on
Ibrutinib
for 8 months, my numbers started to crawl up, so Gazyva was added to the mix. Since then, I have been so nauseated I barely go out of the house. I have tried every nausea medicine out there, and next week I'm going to try acupuncture.

Temporarily stopping Ibrutinib
I have been fortunate enough to be on the fabulous
Ibrutinib
for just over a year, and it has brought my Lymphocyte count down from 252 to 5.

Inhibitors Forever?
Depending upon where you live, you may have access to a new "inhibitor" medicine like
ibrutinib
/Imbruvica. It knocks CLL back but not out. So do you have to take it "forever"? Here's what expert Dr.

Ibrutinb or Idelalisib not working? Patients swapping had mostly favourable outcomes according to a study of 178 CLL patients.

FLAIR update Round 2
FLAIR trial
Ibrutinib
Rituximab arm. So....after first round I felt OK if tired, massive bruising, but am usually easily bruised so can cope with that, so long as no one sees my legs. By day 15 or so I had horrid mouth ulcers. And some muscle pain.

patient's story -what happened next?
I found this post on the CLLSA site (I am confused as to how it connects to Health Unlocked...) but it was a very encouraging story about progress and improvements with
Ibrutinib
and I would love to know how this patient fares now. http://www.cllsupport.org.uk/patients-story-cumbria-way-tina-everett
