Ibrance

I did 2 years of arimidex, and have been on faslodex since 2/2018 and ibrance since 4/2018. I had to stop xgeva after a year due to ONJ (last dose 12/2018). Onc had me hold my ibrance/faslodex to draw markers after my week off.

My nurse says a high carb diet, including simple sugars, is not good when on Ibrance. However I don't find solid research on this. Has anyone found that cutting carbs actually helps? Thanks for your input! Flatrock 17

My wife has been on Ibrance and Faslodex but it appears to not be as effective as it was. The doctor has recommended Xeloda. What has been your experience with Xeloda?

He told me that we will continue with present meds which means that I will still be on Ibrance/Faslodex. What was new though but is not cancerous is that I have developed fibrosis in my left lung which may be due to inflammation or infection.

Hi again, I was on ibrance & faslodex but the past 3 months my ca 27 29 markers have been climbing 71 to 97 to 109. My Onc is leaving my healthcare system and has set me up with a new Onc. They met before I was seen today, and decided to switch me to Afinitor 5mg and Exemestance 25 mg.

But obviously ibrance and letrozole isn’t working so he wants to talk about going down the road of proper chemo I am beyond devastated anything like this happened to anyone else? Xx

I am taking letrozole at this point I haven’t been restarted on the Ibrance or any other Chemo. We will have to wait to see what my numbers say. They had dropped on just letrozole before my surgery. Sharing a photo of my dog - my only constant companion through all of this.

I explained about my RA was flaring up worse with each Exemestane and how I tried to use it with my Ibrance & without my Ibrance (I'm 7 days on, 7 days off) and my body simply can't handle it. She put me on a new anti-inflammatory starting immediately and told me to get back on the Inhibitor.

Hi I've almost finished my first round of Ibrance - 21 days on/7 days off. I dont think I've done too bad so far but over the last few days I've developed sores inside my nose.

Latest tumor markers down to 35 after 10 months on Ibrance and anastrozole!!! I know markers aren’t the be all and end all, but I like this trend from over 300 when I started! I even enjoyed 31 mile bike ride on Cape Cod this week.

So she’s had to stop taking ibrance and letrozole and is going to start paclitaxel once a week starting in the next couple of weeks I’m glad they are giving her a liver biopsy in case it has changed as when this journey started she was er+ her2- but with small expression to her2+.

So having completed my first round of Ibrance, I've had my first scan and been back for results today (had quick scan because of breathing problems). There's good news and not so good news. I'll start with the not so good because I always like to finish on a high :).

Went on Ibrance, Xgeva, and faslodex. My cancer markers dropped dramatically. Then, at my June labs, it showed that my cancer markers had nearly doubled. My wbc and neuts were in the toilet. I was taken off all meds and got a cat scan.

How do you all feel on your 7 days off Ibrance? I’m on my 5 th round and each time when I’m off for the 7 days I still do not feel that great. I’m still tired and I don’t get a lot done. Also does anyone else’s scalp burn and head really sore? That also takes until the 4 th day off.

Does anyone know if the side effects of Ibrance get better or worse the longer you take it? I’m only on 2nd cycle and feel so weak.

I was started on Ibrance and letrozole. I did well for 3 months but at the 6 month PET scan I had progressed in my bones and 3 sets of lymph nodes lit up. I went off meds and was put on Fulvestrant.

Treatment is working- ibrance/faslodex/cygeva. No new Mets- no progression. Decreased activity in most tumors and many are forming sclerotic tissue (healing?!). He can’t explain pain in my ribs where there are 2 but they are stable. Okay.

Hi there I wonder anyone taking these two medication gets headache . I am always having headache since taking these two medications.

Did Arimidex for almost 2 years, then faslodex/ibrance for 14/16 months. Last xgeva 12/18 due to ONJ (that story is in it's own post). My markers have been inching up from 65 to 71 on the faslodex/ ibrance.
