I had the HIPEC Surgery to help with my ascites back on May 3. I wanted to let you all know my ascites has not returned post surgery. The surgery itself was several hours long and I was in a good deal of pain for a couple of days but it was a blessing that I was able to find a doctor willing to work with MBC! This phase of my life has gotten more comfortable. I am taking letrozole at this point I haven’t been restarted on the Ibrance or any other Chemo. We will have to wait to see what my numbers say. They had dropped on just letrozole before my surgery. Sharing a photo of my dog - my only constant companion through all of this.

So few of us here have asceties, I was wondering how you are managing yours. I'm going for me third paracentesis tomorrow and an scheduled for a plurex catheter placement on the 17th. Just looking for advice and support. I too have liver Mets as well as bone. How are you handling things?

Thanks for listening.

Don’t know what I would do with out my Brook. She kept me going when I was alone and could have given in (I need to be here for my baby dog - she’s actually 11 and had a stroke last August.
