I have had Primary hyperparathyroidism for couple of years Dexa scan xrays and seen consultant. Waiting for appt for surgeon

Is this all connected to his hyperparathyroidism - should he take blood pressure medication if it’s offered to him ? We're currently looking at private specialist for his hyperparathyroidism . Thank you 🙏 for any responses .

Can all these symptoms be related to hyperparathyroidism or is it anxiety from it?

I have been diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism, im feeling awful atm, this is a real kick in the teeth as I've been doing so well on ndt , I finally had my thyroid bloods done on Sep 20th which show my T3 is now in range , my TSH as come down from 45.66 to 18.3 my T4 is still low , speaking

I found Arty-fact's post on hyperparathyroidism enlightening, as I'd never heard of a connection between HPT and PD.

Now we as paratroopers know this is bull 💩 as its been proven that patients with overactive parathyroid glands don't need to reach this golden number in order to have primary hyperparathyroidism or normocalcemic hyperparathyroidism.

Hello 👋 We’re based in Shropshire and my partner has primary hyperparathyroidism . He has high calcium levels / PTH . We would be very very grateful of any private messages of any personal recommendations of surgeons who are very experienced in this type of surgery .

I was then diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism following high calcium in bloods. I had a parathyroidectomy following which calcium levels returned to normal in blood. My surgeon told me that the operation should also halt my osteoporosis. Has anyone else had this advice given to them?

I have had hyperparathyroidism for many years and had a left thyroid lobectomy last year. My endocrinologist tested my thyroid levels in June as she suspected I might have an under active thyroid. Results in May TSH 6.67 (0.27 - 4.2) T4 10.3 (10.8 - 25.5) T3. 4.6.

Hi Not been here for a while as I have been investigating possible Hyperparathyroidism - still ongoing, it's a long road! Also had to deal with a gallbladder removal too...but now resolved 🤞 I'm having private bloods to check for raised Calcium (for HPT), which also test my thyroid.
