Alternative medicines?
Is anyone successfully combining inhalers and
homeopathy
out there? My son was treated really successfully by a homeopath for his phlegm and glue ear at age 3, but since he was diagnosed with asthma and put on inhalers I have been worried about putting anything else into his poor little system!

14yo diagnosed with cough variant asthma....how does he get rid of the mucus??
This is my first post as my son has just been diagnosed with cough variant asthma and, following an initial two week dose of prednisolone along with symbicort twice daily and now also one tab of singulair, is having a horrendous time trying to shift the remaining mucus from one of his lungs. He is

managing asthma
I was diagnosed with asthma in 1984. I was offered Ventolin and nothing else at that stage, however having spent several periods in A&E or with the paramedics over the next three years and having to endure the IV steroids (Ahhhhhhh), I decided to try to find a way to manage my asthma. Whilst searching

Newbie here - joined as my asthma is as its worst in 20 years
Have just started
homeopathy
- have any of you had results with this? Any ideas as to why it has suddenly got worse? Katharine if you read this, I read your post & can totally sympathise. I have three ponies to look after and just can't do anything with them, I feel so useless and depressed.

An Irish endocrinologist recommended a very gradual restart on levothryox (I'd tried
homeopathy

Hi. Just been diagnosed with underactive thyroid......
Haven't taken this as yet and am investigating
homeopathy
as an alternative. Any thoughts from you good people as you seem to be a mine of information. Look forward to hearing your comments.

Feet swelling from Raynaud's...please help
I have developed Raynaund's and neuropathy as a result a result of Chemo. The pain and pressure on the bottom of my feet is one thing, but the swelling primarily in my toes, balls and heels make matters so much worse. Aside from keeping my feet elevated, is there ANYTHING else to reduce the swelling

Hello to you krankybird I have been following your blogs with regard to your son, and I feel so sorry for him and for all of your family. Through the choose and book system it would benefit you to get an appointment for your son at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital, I feel sure you would get more

Helpful advice......
If
homeopathy
was going to cure me or vitamins or olive oil do you think I would be injecting myself with potentially harmful drugs?? Do you really think I would reject a 'cure' to continue like this?

Iridology & herbal remedies
BUT, of course, a herbal remedy is based on plant extracts, the same as most conventional medicine, unlike
Homeopathy
which seems like money for water, literally, and relies on a 'memory' of the active ingredient, without even one molecule of it left.

Help! I've only been able to walk 10 paces before my legs pack in for 10 months
Been on lethyroxine since 2008 but gp kept me on just 25mg & didn't inform me when my TSH was 4.92 in Dec 2009 that there was anything wrong with thyroid, despite not being able to walk far from Sept 2009 & having to use a wheelchair outside. I have lots of symptoms of being undertreated and a history

Hi, has anyone tried any alternative treatments for ITP? I'd be interested to know, particularly if they help in anyway.
I've tried Chinese Herbs (did nothing), acupuncture (did nothing but I think it was good for general health) and
homeopathy
(nothing for ITP but I felt very healthy whilst taking the medication).
