Prednisolone
5-6 Months of Louder Tinnitus & I managed to get my doctors to let me try Prednisolone for 8-9 days, but, it was a low dose of 15mg a day. A few days in, I could feel my hearing sharpness had increased & some ear fullness had gone & it feels less inflamed. My tinnitus did seem to slightly flutter about

Hearing loss and PMR ?
I had a hearing test yesterday and was very disappointed to find out my hearing has deteriorated quite a lot since my last test three years ago. I am now waiting for new hearing aids as I now have severe loss of hearing on the higher sounds in both ears Just interested to know if others have experienced

Tinnitus and mild hearing loss
I have been suffering with tinnitus for a while after being diagnosed with SLE 2010. I have also started missing conversations or getting the wrong end of the conversation. I have started to go off balance, like I've had a drink when I've not, veering always to the right. Yesterday I attended a vestibule

Hi everyone, I promised to let you know any updates. I went to audiology and ENT yesterday, had a hearing test then seen a specialist nurse then a consultant. I’m afraid I need a cochlear implant, my hearing is very poor now in my left ear, they think the cause is my sensorial hearing loss suddenly just

Severe tinnitus and sensorineural hearing loss
(Moderator's note - this post contains suicidal ideation, which may be upsetting to some readers) I have recently been diagnosed with granulomatosis with polyangiitis as a result of an autoimmune disorder and have been suffering with tinnitus since the 17th December 2023. The tinnitus is often raging

Transfer day with DE - Last chance
It was suppose to be ready before transfer day, but I responded so well to estrogen, that my lining was ready 1 week before… from some blood tests my doctor is inclined to give me
heparin
injections, but it would be better that the other test results arrived… always living on the edge 😅 Today I am

Newbie with Tinnitus and Pulsatile Tinnitus
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and would appreciate any tips. I've had tinnitus for many years and PT for 18 months. I also have ear fullness, dizziness and headaches. My GP was great from the outset and sent me for an MRI and referred me to a specialist ENT consultant immediately. The consultant

Hi all I’m new to this group. I was diagnosed 18 months ago with tinnitus after I went the to my local Boots for hearing test and they said I had a 60% loss in my left ear, I was rather surprised. I was referred to audiologist given a hearing aid and that was that. Had two sessions of tinnitus therapy

hi All, I wish I could cheer you up but unfortunately this is not a particularly happy post. I recently started suffering from pulsatile, tonal tinnitus , aural fullness and sound distortion in very quick succession. While the hearing test doesn’t show much change from previous ones, I am sure there

Most of us here have Tinnitus, we all react differently to the Drugs. Some Medicines work better for us and not for others. I am trying to collect some research data, to also help myself, as I have pretty bad Tinnitus & to try some different Medicines that might work for me. There is a lot of info out

Possible relapse, trouble seeing Rheumatologist.
Hi, I have not posted in quite some time. Read other's mostly, and since I have been in remission for 7-8 years I have not had much I could add to conversation. I was diagnosed with GPA in 2015. Put on pred and mycophenolate initially, then two rounds of rituximab. I have been med free since 2016

hi there, I acquired tinnitus 3 months ago and had a hearing test last week resulting partially moderate to severe hearing loss. considering hearing aids as I am only 52. they are expensive though 3k for the cheapest ones. wondering how people have found the tinnitus reduction with aids?

Improved?
Had investigations for right ear polyp that had been present for over 20 years but making routine ear micro suctioning difficult (long standing over production of ear wax). Had hearing test but waited for results (October 2023). Went to concert 3rd Nov and mistakenly did not wear ear plugs. Very loud

Head tingling face, legs, and arms
Hi, I am a newbie here, so hope you are all doing as well as can be expected. for the last 12 months I have had 24/7 head tingling in random parts of the head with weird sensations too, plus head pain and now headaches daily. Went to GP who sent me for an MRI and Neurologist who was absolutely useless

Pitch of T changes when turning neck
I have had constant Tinnitus (7500 hz) for 7 years plus. Fortunately I am able to manage it. Despite every test (MRI, CT, Allergies) and engagement with multiple EN&T consultants they cannot find anything wrong. This appears to be a common thread on this forum. I also suffer on and off with Pulsatile
