Atrial Bigeminy
I have searched through the posts about bigeminy and many of them are quite old. I recently had a successful ablation for atrial tachycardia, but now have most incessant atrial bigeminy. There seems to be some varied research out now about atrial bigeminy causing cardiomyopathy. Beta Blockers don't seem

How is AF and Heart Failure linked?
Although the term heart failure can sound ‘scary’ it does not mean that your heart is about to stop working! Although heart failure can be a serious condition, it only means your heart is not working as efficiently as it should be and that it needs a little help to make it work better. For further

2nd Ablation for Atrial Tachycardia
After months and months of misery, and my consult with a second EP,.I decided to proceed with a local ablation at Abbott in Minneapolis. I have Atrial Tachycardia/SVT and it has been a long road with no relief from meds, lots of side effects, rough sleep. It was a rough pre-op with my EP recommending

Pains after heart bypass
Hi, had double heart bypass 2 weeks ago and at least once a day I get pains in my neck and chest which ease when I walk about. I did have a partially collapsed lung whilst in hospital and wondered if this was something to do with it. Has anyone ever experienced anything similar? I’m seeing the cardiac

Do you find Doctors don’t physically examine you anymore ?
Had a heart bypass 4 years ago but since then I’ve had two unrelated problems that years ago would have entailed a physical examination- primarily by the doctor before a referral . Ok I’m a woman so I won’t go into the specific details . However I had to sign a form before the date of my referral giving

Apixaban
I have recently been prescribed Apixaban instead of Rivaroxaban. Just wondering if anyone has noticed increased heart palpitations? I'm not in full blown Afib but have had irregular heart now for 5 days, my heart rate is not abnormally high although probably a bit higher than is normal for me. Any

Contrast dye allergy vs keyhole surgery.
Has anyone here managed to have successful keyhole heart surgery, despite being unable to have contrast dye for CT scan? Were their surgical team able to obtain clear imagery despite this issue? If so, are you willing to share how they did please?

pain in legs and joints
Since I had quadruple heart bypass I was on 11 new tablets .Everything was ok until I’ve been out on some new tablets. Now I am getting cramps, aching joints and I’ve had to stop going with walking groups because of pain in legs. The common denominator here seems to be aspirin,it seems to clash with every

Triple Heart Bypass
Just posting an update on my situation. I am now 5 weeks post op and have been progressing slowly, learning to live with the effects of the op greatly helped by all the responses to my original post. The pain is beginning to subside (very slowly) and my walking has improved and I am doing 30 minutes
