AFib for past 4 days
Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced being in AFib for longer than a day? And does it revert back? Usually I return to sinus rhythm If I’m only in AF for a few hours or a day but this time it’s been 4 days. Fortunately I don’t have any symptoms like I usually have apart from not being

My husband had s heart bypass in December 2023 and had a low platelet count prior to surgery of 284. After his surgery he received approx 12 pints of blood dye to complications. He has had no after care from the recovery point of view so no one he can ask.He has recently had a check blood test and

hi everyone I hope someone can help I had open heart surgery 10 months ago to repair my mitral valve. I subsequently had AF and was told my ejection fraction was 40. Since then my EJ has improved a bit (still not in normal ranges) and the AF has gone. I have however continued with a high percentage

Tired all of the time now.,,
I am sorry if I am repeating myself but all though I am 80 years old, up until this winter I was fully independent, I drive a car, and I could work a small allotment. I am now becoming breathless without exertion and I tend to nap anytime that I sit down. I have seen a Cardiologist this month and am

Post surgery
Hello. I am 3 weeks after open heart surgery to repair my mitral valve. I am still wearing compression socks but for the last 3 days one of my ankles has been swallen. Is this normal weeks after surgery? Getting a GP appointment is almost impossible so wanted to know if anyone else experienced this.

Dentists
Hi everyone-I am due to have CABG July/August. I have a routing check up at dentist this month. I have read somewhere of a link between teeth/gums and heart disease. What are the risks, if any? Is there any chance of dental treatment delaying the heart operation? Thanks

An EP’s view on atrial fibrillation after his own experience
The lecture of EP John Mandrola’s testimonial made a huge difference when I was first diagnosed with the condition. The man knows what he’s talking about, because not only is he an experienced electrophysician, but he also experienced AF himself. I love to share his thoughts with this wonderful group
