My Latest Blood Test Results
Cholesterol -> 44 mg/dL (desirable > 40)
LDL Cholesterol -> 148 mg/dL(desirable < 100) -> Borderline
VLDL Cholesterol -> 18.2 mg/dL(desirable < 30)
Non-HDL Cholesterol -> 167 mg/dL (desirable < 130)
Triglyceride/HDL ratio = 2.07
Total Cholesterol/HDL ratio/ castelli index = 4.8
LDL/HDL ratio = 3.36

Effect of rhTSH on Lipids.
We can speculate. If rising TSH causes total cholesterol, triglycerides and high density lipoprotein cholesterol all to rise, why is it OK for people to see their TSH allowed to reach 10.0 (or higher) before any treatment?
(Of course, we also have all the questions over the real importance of cholesterol
Introducing myself
I have only been dabbling in fasting a couple of weeks, but am seeking like minded souls for support. I am a menopausal woman.
I had a health scare in January (I haven't decided whether I want to share that detail yet) and was discharged in May by my consultant who advised me on a few lifestyle changes

Interestingly, what put the final nail in the coffin was a series of scientific trials on drugs which either reduce total cholesterol (statins),reduced LDL (statins and PCSK9 inhibitors), or increase HDL (statins and niacin). All of them do exactly what they say on the tin.
