Help please!
My step son and granddaughter are visiting at the moment . She is 14, very curious and tech savvy. She asked what I did when I went into afib and I said I had a natty piece of tech that does an instant ECG and tells you your heat rate. She wanted to try it out . We could not get it to work . It kept

permanent afib
My husband is in permanent AF, he has seen a doctor who didn’t seem worried , but told him to have an ECG. Unfortunately their ECG machine isn’t working and he has now been waiting four weeks for one. Should he be worried, he seems ok in himself. Every one here is so supportive I would like to hear

An update
Hi again Many of you will remember my post about 3 weeks ago when I was in fast AF and felt dreadful and I really appreciated all of your help and support. Just an update - I couldn’t get to see the cardiologist ( or even speak to him or anyone! ) but coincidentally was called for a CT angiogram that

After 15 months of tests and waiting and waiting and tests I was told back in February that I needed CABG. In March is saw the surgeon, who ordered more tests, which were done by first week of May. It went quiet until July - I had preop of 9th and another round of tests (blood, ecg, xray). Its all gone

Lower dose Lower mood😓
Hi I've lowered my dose of Levothyroxine from 125mcg to 100mcg experimenting! As thought I was going into 'hyper' territory. TSH well under 1.0 for quite some time too. However, and I've noticed this before, if I lower my dose, my mood plummets. I just start feeling a bit 'numb' for want of a better

Annual Humiliation:
I wanted to follow up with what happened with the Transplant team last week. First of all, shame on me for expecting something else. Since I was off the list for two years and just reinstated last fall, I had never gone through an annual meeting. I thought when I talked with the nurse coordinator, that

Hawthorn supplement helped
I have had paroxysmal AF for several years, but episodes were getting more frequent and lasting longer in the past year. I am a 53 yo female, slim build, never smoked, in good health otherwise. My mom had AF (tachycardia) for 40 yrs and my brother has V tach, so it's very much genetic. I saw the cardiologist

Recording AF with LBBB
I suffer from pAF and left bundle branch block. I would like to record an episode of AF on a personal ECG . I know many of you use Kardia but some reviews say it will not record AF if you have lbbb. I contacted Kardia and they confirmed it may record an af episode as unclassified. My Fitbit records

I was diagnosed with PMR in 2020 and felt that I was tapering successfully until I had a full reverse shoulder replacement in February this year. i struggled with an immense lethargy so my GP organised various tests. These showed I was anaemic which I couldn’t understand as I eat quite well . After a

Woohoo! 1 year anniversary since my quadruple CABG 🙌🏻
Wow! Hard to believe that it’s been a year since I had quadruple bypass heart surgery following an Nstemi heart attack. I am so grateful. This last month has been pretty eventful too. I got the opportunity to thank two people that really contributed to my path of treatment and therefore my rebirth

Anyone with experience of taking Dipyridamole and Aspirin together ?
After a vasovagal syncope in Feb.2024 I was sent for brain MRI scan. And a ECG .The result was scar evidence of a small stroke on left side of my head. The ECG was clear. My blood pressure was back to normal around 132/72. I was put on Candestarten clexitel 8 mg daily , atorvastatin 20 mg and Clopidogrel

Follow-up?
I was diagnosed with atrial flutter/afib almost two years ago. Currently, it's paroxysmal, mostly presenting as flutter episodes lasting about 30 minutes, occurring roughly three times a year. I understand atrial flutter/afib can sometimes progress to more frequent or longer episodes over time. I know
