Has anyone with Hashimoto or any other autoimmune condition tried low dose naltrexone ( NDL) to regulate autoimmune response?
I have multiple autoimmune diseases, such as Hashimoto, autoimmune gastritis and Reynolds. The list is growing. I am already on clean diet and manage my stress as much as I can and need to try something more than that. I have read the LDN research and keen to try. I understand it isn't a panacea

Medication for Vasculitis
Hi. I have had Vasculitis for four years and my current medication is Prednisolone 5.5 mg daily and Methotextrate Injection 25mg weekly. Following the onset of my illness I now have to use a wheeled walker to get around and can no longer drive a motor vehicle.

PSA increase nearly one year after triplet therapy (mHSPC), what's next?
Hello everyone, thank you for all your help for a year. My dad went from a high of 3103 PSA to a nadir of 44. He unfortunately couldn't reach a <1 result but it had stabilized for a few months after his docetaxel + zytiga + prednisone. Unfortunately his new result is 67 PSA exactly a year since diagnosis

Recommendations for Endos in/near Berkshire
Just wondered if anyone has any recommendations for endos in or around Berkshire if they could pm me. I have seen one recently who has said he doesn't think I've ever had a thyroid problem as I was borderline when diagnosed but still have many symptoms. My TSH is very low but I am on a combination

Hashimoto's & Multiple Sclerosis (apologies for two posts in very quick succession!)
Hello - first off, sorry for making two posts in quick succession asking for help! As I mentioned in my first question about an Endo Department, there has been a 'twist' in my Hashi's (I actually have Ord's: autoimmune thyroid disease with no goitre) story... Over the course of several blood tests,

Thank you all for your advice . Had an appointment yesterday and despite feeling exhausted dizzy and having some pins and needles in my hand. (NHS website says 2_3months with malabsorption issues.) . I was told they cannot go against local NHS guidance and got to wait for 12 weeks for my B12 jab. I

What dosage are Carvedilol users on?
Afternoon, I've switched off bisoprolol onto Carvedilol and am still getting some episodes of Afib/ flutter with a high heart rate during exercise. I started on 3.25mg Carvedilol twice daily, now on 6.5mg twice daily, the next logical step is to jump to 12.5 mg twice daily. Just trying to see what

Statins
I have AF but it’s controlled so far with daily flecainide and bisoprolol. I get a three monthly blood test for iron overload but this week the doctor advised me to get a cholesterol blood test as well. All of my results for cholesterol were within the ranges but my doc advised that it’s recommended

switching to a carnivore diet has put my PMR into total remission
I know the subject may be viewed as sensational or just plain wrong, but that is what I have concluded. At the time I was diagnosed with PMR, I already had diagnoses of psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia. My PMR started in 2019, about 8 months prior to covid. I was put on prednisone and experienced

Fibroscan update
Hello. I had a fibroscan at a BLT roadshow 6 months ago which scared me as it was 11.7kpa and cap 218. I'm a 45yo female. I was sent for an ARFI ultrasound after this by my GP, which scored me as being at the lower end of F2 fibrosis ( 1.25m/s) with mild to moderate fatty infiltration. The ultrasound

Ambroxol update
I just received this from PD front line: Dear Mr..In January of this year, Cure Parkinson’s and partners announced funding for the starting up of a Phase 3 clinical trial to evaluate the disease modifying potential of a cough medicine called ambroxol in people with Parkinson’s.
