update on switching to digoxin from lopressor
Stopped digoxin this am and starting back on lopressor. bad heartburn and nausea just kept getting worse. Lots of hydrating and will explore ablation. Really felt sick on digoxin. Although don't feel generally great this was really not a good experience.

Slowly Reducing Antiarrhythmic medications
I had an abalation just on 3 months ago. After the first month my EP advised I can start reducing my medication which is Flecainide and Dilitiazem and he did not need to see me anymore. I am now taking 50mg Flec. and was initially taking 100mg. By July I should be medication free. I have had some

Advice, please!
Over the past four months I’ve had a very painful knee. I have a doctor’s appointment next week. I suspect it is osteoarthritis (I’m 68). I’m also aware that other joints, particularly my shoulders, are also aching, especially when I get up in the mornings. I am taking 60 mg Lixiana, 1.25 mg Bisoprolol

Diagnosed in 2010 with advanced PC. Prostatectomy in 2011 followed by the "all clear". PSA refused to disappear and so RT followed. PSA still present and PC nodules found in my lung in 2021. I then had a 6 session course of chemotherapy and have been on Abiaterone and Demoxosone drugs ever since.Nodules

calming a fibs
So, I am having a fibs right now 9:30 at night in the USA. Heart rate went up to 137, then down to 80s 90's jumping all around. Could feel it racing and I was short of breath. My question is this: WHAT CAN I DO TO CALM ALL THIS DOWN? HOW DO I STOP THE ANXIETY WHILE IT IS HAPPENING? I just drank

Heartburn from Digoxin
On Digoxin 2 plus weeks. Blood level fine. Am having constant heartburn/nausea. My Dr said not a usual side effect. Tough it out? or go back on Lopressor which had its own side effects. Many say it will get better. Permanent persistent afib.

Has anyone tried Inclisiran in place of Statins
My doctor is keen to reduce my cholesterol as it is 7.3 and I can't/wont take statins. I also have problems with palpitations so can't even raise my levo. I am a bit worried I am developing a heart condition too. I am just waiting for a blood test and xray before I go back to the doc who has suggested

💤 sleep
I've always been a good sleeper but following the stroke triggered by brain aneurysm surgery. I've been regularly finding myself waking at 1-2am thinking it's the morning and time to get up. I'm living in a rehab unit so there are always staff around to reorientate me to the time but it's an annoying

Post ablation concerns part 2
Hi everyone - last weekend I posted that 10 days after my PFA I went back into AF. Sadly I am still there & now pretty terrified it has completely failed. The hospital did an ECG on Monday then called on Wednesday to say for me to restart the Amiodorone which was stopped after the ablation & they would

PSA Risen in Last 6 months
Have been on here a week ago, explaining that my husband (who was diagnosed 10years ago) has now been diagnosed with Gastroporesis, so not eating much due to constant nausea and vomiting. We are due to see his Urologist in 2 weeks time, so had the dreaded PSA blood test. It had been almost undetectable

PSA Rising
Asking for a friend of my father this time. He had surgery in december 2022 and everything was removed including glands. Gleason 4+5. His PSA has risen från 0.1 to 0.14 in 12 months. His doctor says to do nothing until it hits 0.2. But shouldn’t he do more? Maybe he doesn’t have advanced cancer yet.

Persistent Afib
Thank you to everyone for your replies. This is the best site for info and also advice that I have found. Persistent AFib but HR controlled and stays under 100 most of the time. Now on Eliquis and switched to Digoxin .25mgm a month ago with Lopressor 25mgm/25mgm and trying to wean off Lopressor

AVnode ablation
All,Has anyone out there had an av node ablation? I have been in persistent afib since feb of this year, and meds are not working. My quality of life has been miserable. I have a pacemaker with wires in my ventricles and my heart rate is very well controlled. It's the afib which is so bothersome.

Cholesterol level and Q Risk
I don't remember seeing any discussions about the Q Risk with relation to a stroke or heart attack. My last bloods came back normal, no action. My cholesterol was 5.3 and I'm on 2mg pred.I asked the nurse what the Q risk was and it came up as 25% chance of a stroke or heart attack within the next 10

heart rate 134 when out walking
Hi all, I have PAF diagnosed Sept 23, I’m taking 1.25 Bisoprolol and 5mg x 2. I recently had my Bisoprolol reduced from 2.50 as it was making me very lacking in energy. I’m 73. We went out for a walk today, it involved a couples of inclines but nothing major, we stopped for lunch after about two miles
