Blood test advice - Am I optimally medicated with Levothyroxine?
He didn’t seem to think there is a problem as serum iron is not important, but ferritin and
haemoglobin
are, and they are OK.

Blood test results help please! B12 Folate Ferritin
Bar one result at 30.9. -
Haemoglobin
has been in the lower half of the reference range, would be quite low if children's range had been used instead of adult's. Has been decreasing since 2012. - RBC has also been decreasing since 2012, at the low end of normal.

Starter dose made no difference!
I also noted an abnormal result next to full blood count (mean cell
haemoglobin
concentration 32.8 (33.5 - 37). Does that mean I'm anaemic too?! Interested to get opinions before I go speak to the Dr. Thanks!

Two weeks liquid iron and Haemoglobin goes down?
Having had my routine bloods on Wednesday, I find that my
haemoglobin
has dropped further. Am I right that that is odd? Does it prove I cannot be absorbing it via my gut? Does it strengthen my case for Vit B12 deficiency/PA.

Why iron is such an important part of your diet
Anaemia occurs when our red blood cell count and/or
haemoglobin
levels are too low, resulting in an inability to transport sufficient oxygen throughout the body. Iron is required in order for
haemoglobin
to transport oxygen.'
