Understanding your blood test
Mean cell
level (range 27 - 33) You might hear your doctor talk about MCH levels when they explain the results of certain blood tests. MCH is short for "mean corpuscular hemoglobin."

Blood results- thyroid and iron levels.
I was mostly interested in my
haemoglobin
levels, I was turned away at blood doning a few weeks ago as it was too low. (117). Since then I've improved my diet and recently started taking an iron supplement, the supplement was started after the blood test was done.

What monitoring is required after treatment for vitamin B12 deficiency has started?
A rise in the
haemoglobin
level and an increase in the reticulocyte count to above the normal range indicates that treatment is having a positive effect."

Anaemia problems ?
Her
haemoglobin
count falls to below 80 and she feels rubbish, looks ghost like and cant do anything. She has had both blood and iron infusions in the past and two recently which helps temporarily. Does this ring bells ? Thoughts most welcomed please.

Haemoglobin level dropping, spleen scan, bone marrow biopsy
Hi everyone,
haemoglobin
levels being relevant is a new thing to me, apparently they’ve been going down since February (seems to coincide with taking peg, could there be a connection?)

Blood test results, help please
I went to give blood about 10 days ago but my
haemoglobin
levels were too low. Reading was 117gl. My diet has been awful lately, I know I've not done myself any favours there! I'm trying to eat more healthily but am struggling with depression and weight gain. Perhaps I've been over medicating?

Diet pills / Hypo
Haemoglobin
A1c is 39, so not diabetic. Waiting on GP tel call - presume my Levo dosage of 125 will be increased and hope that will help me lose a little weight. I’ve been reading of diet pills / obese / diabetes. Is anyone using these, via GP/Endo or over the counter. Has it been successful ?

Positive but tired
PSA down to 0.03 and all other bloods in acceptable range except for
haemoglobin
and red bood cells. On the negative side, I am extremely fatigued after the third fraction and anticipate that this will get worse over the next 3 weeks.
