Other medication effecting Warfarin
Evening all, I hope you are well? I was wondering if anyone else uses the amino acid Lysine for coldsores and knows about its usefulness and any effects? All the information I have found out says it can increase the effect of Warfarin i.e:make my INR higher but mine seems to be doing the opposite! I

New paper below [1]. Abstract says little, but addresses a pet peeve of mine. In the endocrine system, you get a signal intended for a gland somewhere, which will secrete a hormone, destined for a distant location. Implicit is a feedback mechanism to stop the secretion. The prostate does not participate

I haven't been on this forum for a while and I'm agreably surprised each time by the seriousness and expertise of the answers given to us sufferers from thyroid problems. Myself after many years of digestive probles, painful auto-immune arthritis and Hashimoto's disease I finally decided 3 months ago

I don't know how to eat! :(
I've cut out PUFAs apart from a few nuts and seeds here and there, and I eat quite a bit of starch, I'm gluten free, almost grain free and I'm taking care to get choline, inositol,
glycine
and b vitamins every day.

Lysine
Hi I just wondered if anyone can give me some advice. I take 75mg of Levothyroxine a day for under active thyroid. However I want to start taking L-Lysine 1000mg per day together with vitamin c and zinc. Does anyone else use any of these supplements or do you know if they are safe to take together?

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Butyric Acid, Butyrate, Sodium Butyrate - Butter
Not an easy subject, so apologies up-front. [1] If you have smelled rancid butter, you will be familiar with the smell of butyric acid. It can even be detected, at much lower levels, in freshly-bought butter. Butyric acid is a short-chain fatty acid found in butter in triglyceride form. With rancidity

Cold sores/Herpes simplex
I have read lately that some of you are suffering from cold sores. Aren't they not the most horrible things to suffer from ? I have had them often since childhood and at times they have been so bad that I can't even eat and have had to drink through a straw. At times I have had them very close to my
