Using GTN before and during cycle ride
Hi All, I'm hoping to get a bit of advice please? 6 months ago today I had a heart attack whilst riding my bike. I didn't realise this at the time, I thought I just had really bad stitch, though was confused about why I was so out of breath as well as it was unusual (I'd usually recover quickly after

Anyone had success with Tadalafil for treating severe Raynauds?
Hello all I have Systemic Sclerosis and Secondary Raynauds. Have tried (all separately) Nifedipine, Losartan 75mg, then Sildenfil, GTN patches, combined Losartan and Fluoxetine all with NO success. Professor Denton has mentioned that I am a candidate for Tadalifil. Just wondering if anyone has had success

Feeling a bit shell shocked & raw
Last March while on holiday in Spain I had a heart attack. I foolishly didn't seek help as I was convinced it was stomach related. It wasn't until my return when I was admitted to hospital that I was told what had happened and had 2 stents. I have a remaining 50% blockage in LAD and 100% blockage in

Hello
Hi I’m new on here, had a mild heart attack this Tuesday. After echo and angiogram told no blockages and valves working well. Sent home Thursday with loads of meds. Felt ok so perhaps did too much walking about and chatting with family at home. Got another chest pain not bad like attack. But still not

MVA
I have suffered for 15 years with central chest discomfort, had 2 clear angiograms, negative stress tests, scans of arteries, numerous ecg all fine, no issues with blood tests. Two cardiologists have stated MVA currently on Isorbide dianitrate, bisoporol, statins and aspirins, tried renaxa did not agree

Gtn spray side effects
I was having chest pain this morning, when the paramedics came she gave me the gtn spray but before that she gave me an orange flavoured tablet to chew, does anyone know what this was, I didn't get any side effects from the spray and wondered if it was the tablet I took before it

Does regular exercise help incomplete evacuation?
I am so fed up with this problem. I have to go to the loo at least 5 or 6 times most days - the motions are usually quite soft but I have to strain to pass them and always feels like I haven`t finished. It`s been particularly bad lately and I`m wondering if it`s because I haven`t been getting much

Latest Update
Good afternoon all. I went in and had another stent fitted on the 5th of February after a bit of a wait and 3 ambulance call outs, the third one they kept me in as they said I was a high risk. I am feeling much better and not getting so out of breath. The consultant thinks my problem is genetic and I

So confused
I was diagnosed with very mild build up in 2 small arteries the only reason they gave me the scan was because I pushed for it, Drs kept telling me my chest pain which i get every day, was anxiety, even after the diagnosis they said the amount of build up didn't warrant how much pain I was getting, I

Confused
I’m new here, 58 and had a double bypass eight years ago, followed by a serious carbon monoxide poisoning two years ago which caused damage to my heart. I’m a bit confused because I am getting angina symptoms at rest which I assume is unstable angina. I’ve read that unstable angina is a medical emergency

I wanted to share this to help others. Firstly i have suffered constipation and bloating for about 20 years and for 10 years have taken laxatives to go. I started with Senna and then when they stopped working went onto dulcolax liquid until recently even that didnt work too well. Basically i suspect

Consultation with 'Top Endo'
After posting my two failed acth test, and gtn loads of advice on this forum. I decided to seek a private endo, the BEST in my area. (Name removed as per Admin Guidelines) his reputation on adrenals and thyriod are exceptional. I’m 18 months out of a job due to sickness, due to my nhs doctors not following

What’s the relationship between microvessel disease and unstable angina?
Are there differences in the experience of micro vessel angina and unstable angina? I have had major vessels stented, but still experience angina when in the cold, or hot or damp, stressed, on inclines, alcohol, coffee, stairs and carrying weighty items, or speeding up too fast. GTN helps. I can exercise

Thank you!
I'd like to thank all those who commented on my last post. I was feeling a bit low after my appointment with a cardiologist. Every comment made by you was positive and encouraging. Since then, I've been searching for info and reading other people's posts on here. I'm staggered at how many people have
