And so it goes.
The tumor was extracted and tested and was found to be a
glioblastoma
. So I have two different types of cancer.

Micro-robots could deliver drugs to brain and organs
“We’ll draw conclusions from that experiment and get back to clinical trials in 2025 to test it out on a brain affected by
glioblastoma
[a form of an aggressive brain tumor]. In this case, we will be adding medication.”

Update - not good
She was "diagsnosed" with
glioblastoma
shortly before Christmas though the official biopsy results didn't come back until mid February. I wrote this before she passed, wanting to think of her in the present. I hope you all don't mind me sharing a few things about her.

Glioblastoma brain tumor
Hi there, I had my grade 4
Glioblastoma
tumor removed about 6 weeks ago, in the beginning of September. The doctor told me the chemo and radiation will give me permanent short term memory loss, and only a few more months of life, so I have zero interest in treatments.

2 Year GBM survivor
I was diagnosed with
Glioblastoma
in October 2020. I was not eligible for surgery as the tumour was diffuse. I had the normal Radio / Chemo treatment followed by 1 year of 5day per month chemo. I also had one session of Dendritic Cell Immunotherapy with Immacura.

Posting this information in case it is useful for anyone else
As well as my NHS treatment, I recently had a private appointment with a Dr specialising in the treatment of
glioblastoma
. One of the things he recommended is the prescription of fluoxetine ( prozac), which I have now started.

I lost my beautiful 29 year old son to

Organ donation and Glioblastoma
Apologies for the morbid topic but is anyone aware of a
glioblastoma
patient being able to donate organs? The organ donation website rules anyone out with active cancer but I’ve also read that
Glioblastoma
patients can make good candidates for donation if they don’t suffer other health conditions.

anger
yesterday was the first time since my sister has been diagnosed with
glioblastoma
that she was full on angry . She is in her 3rd week of treatment and found a minor bald spot in the area that was operated on. I don’t live in the same state as her so I decided to call her to help her through it.

Confused, shocked, unsure
My Aunt was diagnosed in May 2022 with Stage 4
Glioblastoma
. 2 tumors were present. She had a biopsy taken where they discovered another tumor was present within a matter of 2 weeks. Following this she was was told there was no surgery options available as they are too deep.

Dad has brain cancer, heart issues, and now PSA has increased. Concerned about medication complications..
Five weeks later, he was diagnosed with Primary Central Nervous System Large B Cell Lymphoma (brain cancer) after brain surgery (for what we were told was
Glioblastoma
) revealed that he had lymphoma in his brain. He began chemo + immunotherapy immediately (methotrexate and rituximab).

Glioblastoma Recurrence
My 69 year old wife has evidence of tumour progression (recurrence following surgery, 6 weeks radiochemotherapy and 6 cycles of adjuvant temezolomide) on her latest MRI. One of the options for treatment we have been asked to consider is Lomustine chemo in conjunction with Avastin. Avastin side effects
