This is excellent news, a new weapon to add to the arsenal of treatments that need to be developed in order to enable a holistic approach to treatment 🙂

Well that would be amazing news. Let's really hope. My chemo stopped because me liver had risen to level 5. Oncologist said it would never be level 1. But it is level 2. So I think i might be on a trial until they sort it out. How have you got on GT eith results.

Hiya, I hope you do ok, always think positive and change lifestyle if able. I had a scan 3 months ago during my 6 month chemo tabs and ok, I had another 2 weeks ago and have a meeting/catch with specialist, to find out, how my head is doing internally on Thursday.

I was told that in order to have immunotherapy there needs to be a frozen tissue sample from the tumour.

As far as I know, I didn't have one when I had my craniotomy (biopsy and debulking) on 05/09, and was also told the cost would be 'in the region of hundreds of thousands'

What have others been advised / told?

Hello, I'd ask your oncologist and the neurosurgeon that removed your tumor. When my husband was offered about different trials, the nurses conducting the paperwork for the trials had informed us that the tumor was disected into many samples so with our permission could be used for other trials, and learning about glioblastoma and would be frozen forever..so I'd reach out to those Drs. Wishing you the best.

Was told my father wasn't suitable for this, due to age and type of GBM. Was also told £100,000's too.

It will help others in the future x

I was told 150,000 Pound, why wasn't your father suitable? As far as I understood this treatment suits for mutated and not mutates GBM tumors.

I'm sorry that your ability to communicate is affected

Has anyone suggested that you are referred to a speech and language therapist? This could be helpful, as they have knowledge of communication strategies and potentially devices, that may assist you

Sorry to hear how you are, can you perhaps also speak to your medical team to assist? As well as to watching to us?
